"Waaaaaahhhhhhh......Waaaaaahhhhhhh......Waaaaaahhhhhhh." sound of the ambulance can be heard, many people gathered at the scene. "Hello!! 911 state your emergency"- one of a person in the crowd made a call and reported everything to the police. The police arrived to the scene and saw a thirty year old man bleeding so heavily. He was rushed to the hospital and the treatment started.
"Oxygen levels...Check"..."Blood pressure...Check"..."Heart rate...Check". "Sir, the situation might go out of control as the bleeding didn't stop and there is a severe injury on his head " one of the nurses informed the assistant doctor. Listening to the nurse, the assistant doctor examines the patient and thought," it is 3:00am in the morning who is gonna respond", that's when he calls his senior doctor..."Hello...."
"tring...tring...Hello...Aditya"..."Mam there is an emergency in the hospital. I request you to come as soon as possible"..."Ok! Aditya in 15 min I will be there..."
the car starts" tiwik... tiwik..."
"Hi I am Aaratrika and a neurologist ..I am 30 years old.. it's too funny right.. haha.. basically I wanted to be a professor.. Since my dad had a lot of money to waste I became a doctor.. In the beginning I wasn't too interested in doing MBBS but that one face and that one person...every day I get to see many faces, since eight years I have been searching for that only one face which enlightens me every second when I am around him..."
"Mam your coat...mask...cap...".."Where is Aditya and the patient..".. "Mam Aditya sir is with the patient and they are in the ICU.." Walking down the hallway Aaratrika meets Aditya and starts discussing the patient's condition....
"Aditya, more than an assistant doctor.. he has been my best friend since we were kids.. same school.. college.. and same university.. now in the same hospital.. destiny.. his father is the only reason I became a doctor.. every house have one Sharma uncle, in my house he is the one.. his son was doing MBBS.. hence I was forced to take MBBS.. but he was one of a person who stayed along with me in my sour and happy days.. due to a small problem he discontinued his study for a while.. that's the reason he is the assistant.. after two months he is also gonna be a senior doctor like me..."
"Aaratrika lets go now, I think if we delay more, the situation might be out of our hands.." Aaratrika and Aditya headed towards the ICU room. As they were about to start the operation that's when Aaratrika went pale. A chill passed through her spine by seeing the patient and couldn't utter a single word. Her inner voice was telling her to wake him up or move him to at least talk and cry but, she can't do any of these as it would make her a fool in front of their staff. After the operation the patient's relatives came to see him. Aaratrika explained the situation to one of his relatives and headed back to her office. She never imagined in her life she would be meeting the person in that condition, her eight years of waiting for that person have broken her completely. Sitting in her chair Aaratrika started thinking about him.....
"Rahul....Rahul stop... Rahul stop hitting him...the whole crowd was watching him, one of his friends was calling his name and he was beating one of their seniors. "Rahul if you are not gonna stop we are gonna expel you from this college.." A voice from the crowd can be heard, he was none other than the dean of the college.. Rahul stopped and the crowd dismissed .. That's when I saw Rahul for the first time.. The aggression on his face.. the punches.. made me feel something for him. Rahul and I studied in the same college 'Vashista College of Engineering and Medical' in Shimla.. He was an engineering undergrad and as you know I was a medical student. Till that day I was making plans to quit this college but Rahul was like a magnet which kept me there. Later after that day I thought about going and to talk with him.. and that's when I started a little enquiry about him.. As the person so as his department.. He was a hardware engineer from the Electronic and Communication Department.. He had very few friends and all of them were boys.. it made me happy as there was no competition for me.. but used to maintain his distance from girls.. he spoke with people very rarely and had very less interactions with people.. yet he is a very good student and did his academics well.. being a medical student I used to get very less time to go and enquire about him.. but every time I did it used to make me feel that I am missing out something about him.. which could be seen in his face.."
" knock...knock..."
To be continued....
