My hand was held tight as Sapnap asked Slime bluntly where we could find Quackity. Sadly and without speaking, he tapped a spot on a small map within his room to a large structure labelled The Needle. A fleck of green remained on the location once he stepped away and held himself in his arms, staring down at the floor, appearing to melt slightly.

"...Hey, uh, Quackity said..."

"What?" Sapnap snapped. "Speak up, Slime, for goodness sake."

Slime whimpered before mumbling, "I'm sorry, Sapnap from Kinoko Kingdom. You did tell me not to speak anymore, to begin with."

"Well if it's something important then spit it out, or don't bother at all."

At the fierce tone, Slime cleared his throat, clinging tighter to himself. "He... Just, he said not to be disturbed..."

"Whatever. I'm sure he can spare, like, five fucking minutes to see us."

I wanted to stay back and make sure Slime was going to be ok, but didn't have a say as I was pulled by my fiancé deeper into the premises of the country, not before he roughly placed down two diamonds on the booth surface to pay for admittance.

"You shouldn't have been so mean to him," I dared to mumble.

He clenched my hand in his briefly, as if going to ball it into a fist but forgetting I was there. "Maybe not. But it doesn't excuse what he put you through."

"As if he was to know! Now you just made him sad," I bit back.

A scoff was his response. "With Slime, you never know anything he might know. Anyway, he's not even a real person, so I'm sure he'll forget about this just like-"

"Sapnap," I cut in, sensing the next few words were something he would regret. "Let's just drop the subject."

With that, I decided to let my gaze wander around and take in the sights of Las Nevadas. It greatly lifted my mood as I stared giddily at a beautiful water feature in the center, passed something Sapnap called a 'gas-station', saw a burger shop which made my stomach rumble, noticed a hotel behind a stage, and couldn't miss the looming, white building at the end of the country which Sapnap told me was Quackity's main attraction: the casino. Lastly, the towering build I recognised from the map to be The Needle seemed to pierce the sky.

I stopped briefly to stare up at it all the way - growing dizzy and needing to be steadied by Sapnap as I nearly fell over backwards. I giggled at my own reaction, making Sapnap chuckle in response. It was a lovely sound. I felt blessed to hear him relaxed enough to utter it.

"Ok," Sapnap said, his voice quivering slightly with nerves. "We...have to go up this water elevator, ok? So hold your breath. God, I'm so nervous. What if he hates us? Tells us to leave? What if he-"

I wrapped my arms around his middle to silence his words. "It'll be ok. Whatever his reaction, I'll be right there."

"Thanks, love. Ok. I'll head up first and you follow, deal?"

"Deal."

As soon as his touch left me, I fiddled once again with the jewelry on my wrist. The gurgled splashing of water sounded as Sapnap was sucked up to the top floor. I waited a moment or two before holding my breath and stepping into the elevator, surprised to find how warm the water was, nearly missing how it felt once I stepped out.
