The Mikaelson ball had barely begun, Elijah Mikaelson standing up to speak, only to be stopped in his tracks when with a slam, every door in the room closed and locked themselves, to the crowd's horror, and confusion.  with a lock pop, the ballroom was transformed into a theater, cushioned seats and a giant television stood at the front of the room.  A few people moved to try the doors, only to find them locked and hard as rock, unable to be broken through.

"Klaus, did you do this?" Elena accused, looking to the hybrid in question.

"I haven't the faintest idea of what this is," Klaus drawled in annoyance.

Before the conversation could continue, a loud bang was heard as Mikael fell from the sky and onto the floor of the theater.  He adjusted quickly and the moment he saw Niklaus, he lunged forward in anger only for some invisible force to drag him into a seat.  He tried to stand only for the same force to hold him in place, to Niklaus, and Kol's blatant amusement, and Rebekah and Elijah's hidden one.  Just as Niklaus opened his mouth to taunt him, the lights went off, and the screen switched on, fading into white on black letters.

"The future?" Damon Salvatore scoffed in disbelief, only to be slammed into a seat along with everyone else still standing.

"The future it is," Damon muttered weakly.

The screen opened up with the words, 'THIS STORY IS BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS' in bold, before fading out into a series of black and white pictures, a New York accent narrating.

"In 1899," The voice began.

"Wait, 1899, I thought this was supposed to be the future?" Caroline Forbes questioned, curiously.

"Did you miss the part where it said, past and present too?" Rebekah snorted, causing Caroline to blush in embarrassment.

"The  streets of New York City echoed with the voices of newsies, peddling the newspapers of Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hearst and other giants of the newspaper world," the voice narrated.

"This is about newsboys?" Stefan scoffed, "How is that relevant to present events?"

"It isn't, but I guess we have no choice, but to keep watching and see," Elijah mused.

"On every street corner you saw 'em, carrying the banner, bringing you the news for a penny a pape. Poor orphans and run-away's, the newsies were a ragged army, without a leader, until one day when all that changed," the pictures finally settled on a picture of a young man, high cheek boned and dark eyed.

The Mikaelson's interest sharpened into awe.  Rebekah covered her mouth, stopping her sobs from breaking through.

"Do you know this guy?" Damon questioned with calculated interest, only to get death-glares from the whole family, Mikael, Esther and Finn included.

"What is this?" Elijah whispered in awe.

"My little boy," Esther choked out, tearfully, to the Mystic Falls gang's shock.

"Henrik," Mikael muttered in shock.

"You mean, Henrik, Henrik, as in the Henrik who was killed by Werewolves?" Elena questioned curiously.  She received only the vaguest of nods, the Mikaelson's too distracted by the sight in front of them to answer seriously.

"Henri," Rebekah choked out.

"Rik," Kol looked on hopefully.

"Henrik," Niklaus mumbled in shock.
