It's the next day. I wake up but can't open my eyes. They are still sore from crying. I feel so dark and gloomy. But I remembered, I get to go see how Kane is doing. Putting my slippers on and stretching at the same time, I get up. I opened my bedroom door to see my mom setting down a plastic bag full of packed food.

Ms. M," oh! Good morning mija! Get ready to go to the hospital, quickly!"

Gabby smiles," okay, I'll be right back."

I go to put on my shoes and step out of my room in a flash.

Gabby yells," ma! I'm driving!"

Ms. M," wait!"

I get to the car and start it. My mom then gets in after me. I drive to the hospital nervous to see Kane in that condition, but excited to see her well, if she is well. We make it to the hospital and find a parking spot near the entrance. I step out of the car and enter through the sliding doors.

The receptionist looks busy as I walk up to her. I reach the counter and ask," hi, Is there a patient named Kane Spade checked into this hospital?"

Receptionist," wait a second, let me take a look." She finds her name and continues on to say," yes, she is in room 205. To visit: fill this form out."

She hands me a clipboard and a pen. I say thank you and take a seat. It took a while; but, I finished the form and handed it to the receptionist. Now, me and my mom are waiting to be let in. The receptionist calls us and says," you guys may now go in."

I stand up and walk to Kane's room with my mom behind me. We open the door and see Kane laying in her bed. I feel the dark emotions flood back and send chills through my body. My tears threaten to fall but I let them dry before I continue into the room. I walk and reach for Kane's hand; it's cold. I panic, but come back to my senses when I heard the heart monitor.

Gabby says slowly," I hope you feel better soon... it hurts me to see you like this."

Ms. M adds on," take your time in healing, we will come visit you every day so don't you worry."

A nurse walks in with a cart full of ointments and medicine. The clanking of the cart sounds loud, interrupting the eerie silence.

Nurse," I won't disturb your visit, I have to re-clean her wounds real quick, excuse me."

Gabby answers," oh yeah, no problem."

Me and my mom stay in the hospital for another hour just sitting in silence. Then, we leave the hospital.
