Shouyou was smiling, dripping in sweat as he bundled his drumsticks in his hand and stared at the audience before them just as the curtain began closing.

His bandmates began hugging each other and whatnot, but Shouyou was too busy packing up his belongings to see it.

That last note was perfect!

"Shouyou, we need to talk with you," spoke their lead guitarist, Riko. Shouyou glanced up from his backpack with a questioning look, but it soon turned into one of realization. He stood from his kneeling position with his bag hanging from his shoulder.

"I did it again... didn't I?"

The lead singer, Fukatawa, nodded reluctantly, and Shouyou shut his eyes and bowed his head. "I'm so-"

"Shouyou, you always do this."

They were upset. It was understandable, after all. No one needs a backup singer that overtakes the lead singer. Shouyou just gets so excited that his voice just... won't turn off.

"... I know."

The band's been together for about a year or two now. They just got off tour. Tonight, they'd be heading home.

Shouyou glanced over his bandmates' faces and knew what he had to do. He thanked them for the fun times they had, turned on his heel, and left.

And tonight, Shouyou would no longer be a part of the band.

-----

Shouyou sat in his apartment room, eating ice cream and banging the tune of 'Undercover Martyn' to his Instagram live. He was sobbing like a child, pausing in between to eat a giant spoonful of ice cream or rant about how unfair life was.

Everyone was either laughing or supporting him. Shouyou was just grateful to have someone here so he wouldn't feel alone.

"You know what? I'm not even gonna think about them anymore! I'm gonna- *sniffle* I'm gonna go solo! Who needs them, anyway!? *sob* I don't! Mhm!"

He shoveled another spoonful of ice cream into his mouth, wiped his eyes, and began playing a bit better on his drum set. His phone was blowing up with comments, emojis, and support.

He's rather popular, you see. Shouyou's not afraid to be real and he's good at drumming. He can't quite remember when his follower count hit the big charts, but he's grateful for it.

"I love you guys," he chuckled and sniffled and held his drumsticks in his hand to lay his head on one of the drums and shakily sigh.

There's more on his mind than just his friends and bandmates leaving. His Instagram income covers his rent, but what about food and utilities? Savings, investments, and his musical needs?
