The two overlords stared into your eyes like daggers piercing into your soul. You only stared back, sweating in fear. The moth grinned ear to ear and offered his hand. "What's a sweet face like yours doin down there? Why don't you join us, we were just about to have fun~" His voice was deep and course. You slowly get up, holding your hands close to your waist. The T.V. light almost blinding your vision. "Val, why should I not take them out here and now? You know how I feel about uninvited guests." The T.V. Had a deep robotic tone to his voice. That alone made you more worried on top of your thoughts on your fate.
Val looked at you and squinted, then snapped his fingers to get your attention. "What are ya doin here sugar? You certainly don't look like no assassin to me." You shook your head no and replied shakingly "N-No sir, I-I was j-just t-trying to sneak i-in q-quickly." Val chuckled and looked back at Vox. "See, they're no trouble to us, just some fool not wanting to wait in line~" Vox looked at you and sighed. "Fine Val, but they're stayin here under my watch. I'm not risking anything after that last deal." Val rolled his eyes and moved away from Vox, patting the couch.
You sit down, the staring from Vox made your hands tremble. Val however, cuddled up onto you. "Relax yourself sweet face, you're welcome to snuggle up on daddy~" Val grinned ear to ear, coming closer to your cheek. He held your arms down and all you could do was close your eyes. Just before Val could kiss you Vox shoved him away. "Val this couch will not be used for that type of entertainment. Why don't you check on some of your employees. You wouldn't want to seem neglectful would you?" Val scoffed and got off the couch. "Whatever, you killed the mood anyway, I'll be back soon."
With him gone Vox got up and held out his hand. "You need to come with me. Be thankful I stopped it from happening. You're in this mess now." You complied and followed him to a roof balcony. He lit a special brand of cigarette and looked out onto the city. "You should've just waited, Now I have to make sure you won't blab about your unexpected arrival. Still, If Vark didn't kill you, you must be worth something. What's your name?" He turned to you and you replied with your first name. He looked back out the city and flicked his cigarette. "Do you know who I am? If you do, be happy you're not dead." You simply nod and walk up to the edge of the balcony. The sky sprawled a beautiful red over the buildings and streets. The cool air whisper as it flows by. "My name is y/n I'm just some office worker from the inner city. I'm nothing special really." Vox looked at you and got closer.
"I can make you into something, all you need to do is shake my hand and do as I task." You look at his hand, you could be choose to become someone with considerable power or reject and possibly die. You choose to take his hand, he chuckled to himself and walked you inside. "Tomorrow come back, I'll make sure the bouncer will know you're coming. Don't worry about your job, I'll take care of that. Just don't disappoint me or you'll regret every last second of it." With that burned into your mind, you nod and head back home. Tomorrow was gonna be a change for sure, but what would come to you for it? Will you achieve your goal of being ridiculously rich or be a skid mark on the pavement. Only time would tell...
