Yuichi Kaiba, a young and upcoming duelist, is sent by his father to Duel Academy to help train his dueling skills. He meets new people along the way, some of whom are a bit more unique than the average duelist.

The main protagonist of the story, Son of Seto Kaiba and Ishizu Ishtar, is the owner of the specially made Heroic Spirit Deck. He cares deeply about his parents, but he seems more close to his mother due to the distant relationship his father and he have.

Seto Kaiba
The father of Yuichi, and the CEO of Kaiba Corp. He cares about his son but he's always occupied with his work which has created some distance between them.
Ishizu Ishtar
The mother of Yuichi, and wife of Seto. She's quite close to her son Yuichi and tries her best to support him, She understands that her husband and Yuichi's relationship isn't the best but she tried her best to support her son regardless.
