--I'm still running in field B. Now that our classes have started, the practice schedule changed. Instead of 2 PM for our afternoon practice, we will start at 4 PM up till 7:30 PM.
I'm happily skipping my way papunta sa designated room ko. She's in section 1-C while I'm in 1-B.
Kailan kaya ako ibabalik ni uncle sa field A to practice with the other players??
My eyes scanned around the room. It is my first time stepping inside a classroom. A smile left my face as I stride my way on the table that caught my eye. It's one column away from the window and 3 rows away in front.
I make myself comfortable on the seat and start rummaging through my school bag.
"Where did I put it...." I mumbled until I found it and got a hold of it.
I fished it out with a smile on my face and began flipping it open. Leaper, that's the title of the book I'm reading. The story is about a 29 year-old woman who leapt through time in order to save her best friend from death.
Let's kill some time before the teacher comes!
4:00PM
I watched outside field A the rigorous training my fellow tenth graders are doing. They're all serious. Training with all they've got to show the coach that they're worthy joining the main line up.
My eyes landed on Ira. She's consecutively bat every ball coming without any doubt. She's so cool. I could still remember the first day I taught her how to bat. Haha! She sucked at it first but her thirst of knowledge to learn how to bat bear its fruit.
I shook my head.
"Now's not the time to be sulking up, self!" I encouraged myself, slapping my cheeks with both of my hands.
I need to prove that practicing running won't let me down to become a pitcher! We've won the Summer Nationals back in middle school. With my pitch, I could probably bring the entire team to Koshien!
"Let's get started, self!" I immediately went to field B and start running.
I believe he has a reason as to why he keeps me running as my practice.
3 weeks later
No! I don't believe uncle has a reason why he just keeps me running. I believe he will keep me running the entire year! It's been three weeks!
What should I do? Should I cry blood in front of him? Treat him to an amusement park? Treat him to an expensive restaurant?
I trudge my way to the room. The summer tournament qualifiers will start in three months. Although that sounds like a lot of time for other people, but for me it isn't! I haven't made any remarkable points for me to get chosen as one of the starting players for the team. I'm still stuck running around field B together with other players who seemed to got kicked out from field A.
