The night ended quite shortly due to Beomgyu's making a scene in the VIPs room.

Huening Kai sat on the front seat while Beomgyu peacefully slept at the back. The other three talking about something at the end of the parking lot.

Soon Taehyun walked towards the car followed by Yeonjun and Soobin.

"Go home first. I'll deal with him later." Yeonjun said to Taehyun who entered the driver's seat and at that moment Kai could tell the blond hair boy was in charge among them.

"Okay, we're going." Taehyun said starting the engine and Kai glanced through the window meeting Soobin's eyes. The latter kept staring at him standing next to Yeonjun. Kai feels flattered by the gaze he received. No one ever looked at him like that before. So precise yet cold and unreadable. Then the car took off leaving the two eldest.

The next day was Sunday and it was supposed to be Kai's resting day. After a whole week of studying, and working, and also Taehyun forced him to the club last night, he needed a ton of rest today. Maybe... that wouldn't happen.

"Hey! Open the door kid！"

Kai groaned against his pillow hearing a loud bang on his door. The perfect way to ruin his pleasant Sunday morning.

"Kiddo! I know you're in there."

"I'm coming..Ajusshi"
Kai stumbled on his steps feeling light-headed. He opened the door to meet a grumpy landlord. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and bowed.

"If you haven't paid the rent by Monday, I'm kicking you out! Understood？"

Kai bowed again "Understood."

It wasn't the first time he threatened Kai so the boy get used to it.

Monday came and as soon as he finished his class, Kai rushed to the small local restaurant to start his shift. On weekdays he washed the dishes here after class and on Saturday he worked at a convenience store. It has been like a routine for almost five years now ever since he moved out of his abusive uncle's family house.

"I'm sorry but you have to wait till Friday to get paid."

"But I have to pay the rent today. Please Noona.."

Kai whined at the owner of the restaurant. He knew she couldn't reject his aegoo.

"You little shit！" She pretends to hit him and they both laugh. After the laughter died down the woman sighed deeply and Kai understood. There were so many new restaurants opened nearby and the shop doesn't have many customers. " Hueningah, I wish I could pay you forward but as you can see..."

"I understand." Kai said smiling." I'll wait till Friday."

"Oo.. You're such an angel my baby Huening."
She pinched his cheek and the raven smile faded as soon as she walked away. For at least once can't he be selfish for his own. But Kai is the kind of person who puts others first before himself.

"You could move in with us. Our place is pretty spacious."

Taehyun said as the two worked in the lab for their upcoming project. The red hair choose him to be his partner and Kai agreed to ignore all the jealous stares of his classmate.

"What about the others? You are the only person I'm close with. What if they don't like me？"

Kai asked as Taehyun carefully mixed the chemicals. The color turned out blue and it wasn't what they intended. Kai opened the large Chemistry book to look for their mistake.

"I'm sure Beomgyu Hyung likes you, he said to me that you are the only person who looks at me as a real friend inside the campus."

"That's because you are too damn hot and everyone tried to hook up with you." Kai teased and Taehyun slap his arm. Kai shrieked out laughter." Ahh...Sorry！"
