as soon as the doors have locked, the guards have quickly drew their swords and guns towards them, simultaneously facing the outsiders intruding the palace, pausing when they met eye to eye.

seokjin's eyes squint out of his slight confusion on why the guards haven't sided back with them, his lifted hand remained hanging in the air, pausing from the intended war, holding the outsiders back from attacking first.

the great grand queen's eyes remained fixated on the young couple, holding their people back as well before whispering.

"why did you had to come this far in ruling up against me?" she hisses, glaring over seokjin before it lands back to the second princess glaring back at her, silence filling the palace while she talks.

byulyi remained silent, knowing that a spare of glance would tick her off to death, sharing no response.

hypothesizing it right, a faint smirk draws back on the second princess' lips, hearing her grit her teeth and yell.

"YOU HAVE PUT THE MOON CLAN INTO SHAME!" she screams her lungs out, as seokjin was about to reply, only to feel a reassuring hand from the princess behind him, whispering smugly.

"you are the one who puts the moon clan into shame by robbing the nation's future with your wealth, great grand queen." she presses her tongue into the roof of her mouth, stepping forward to block seokjin out of the way, facing the great grand queen, eyeing her from head to toe.

when their eyes met, when she sees the wrath drawn in the queen's eyes for ruining her plans in ruling joseon for another time, she can't help but transparently show her smirk in triumph, muttering.

"because i am in the same clan with you, i am giving you a good minute to run away before your great grand daughter slings this sword in you."

the great grand queen's eyes went wide out of horror, mouth parting shakily, hissing. "you are not doing tha-" her words were cut off, as everybody heard the loud clinking of byulyi's sword, drawing it before slinging it through the air.

as if the world had stopped, everybody screams in surprise, making each people now lift their weapons, drawing it against each other when byulyi declared the first move.

then she pauses when she felt the sword pressing into the queen's neck, seeing the fear and surprise in her eyes, as byulyi scoffs, tilting her head while looking around everyone who seems tense of what she'll do next.

"you have called me as a crazy bitch more than once, my pretty queen." she sarcastically whispers, seeing the nervous gulp from her, shuddering when she feels the coolness of byulyi's sword pressing harder on her nerve, murmuring.

"i should've killed you when i had the time." the queen whispers out of spite, glaring over the second princess, hearing her chuckle softly and whisper. "i should've done the same, too."

the tension remained high up in the air, nobody was daring to move a single finger as soon as the great queen's life stood still in danger, fearing that the second princess might continue ending their lives.

"if you move the sword, the king will soon follow, princess byulyi."

the silence was torn apart, as byulyi frowns alongside with seokjin, eyes landing towards the royal court's doors, opening wide as they frowned deeper, seeing the king being grasped by the guards, mouth muffled with a cloth while having his hands cuffed behind.
