Loading Duchess into her trailer was not going to be easy. The grey Andalusian never did like small spaces nor did she like making things easy. Ever since the fire she's been skittish all it takes is a tree bending a certain way or a whistle in the wind and she spooks. We'd packed up the trailer and the last of our horses were safely stowed away in their trailers. Now it was just mine. She had always been a minx bust since the academy burned down its like she's a foal again. She whinnies and paces being the stubborn mare she is. it took us what felt like forever, but was more like twenty minutes, to get her in and she finally settled as I shut the door and locked the ramp in place. I took one last look at the charred remains of the riding school I had grown up in, flickering ambers and a few firemen still around from last night, and climbed into the passenger seat of the trailer, day dreaming as we started the journey to the island. Our new home.

Holloway had been kind enough to take us in after they heard about the fire. They had been the sister school to Willow Park Academy for longer than I had been alive. The only hick up was it meant moving a day's drive and an hour long ferry ride away from everything I had grown up with. With the state Duchess and my brothers horse's were in it was important to all of us that they were settled in there new stables quickly which meant flying he horses to the island was not an option. Not to mention I'm not even sure they even have an airport. The drive had tiered us all out and it was late evening when we finally arrived and got the horses stalled and settled for the night. Our family had up and left our lives behind for our horses. Now we have to unpack the pieces shoddily tied together and find some normality. Thanks to our parents dedication to their work and their affluent jobs we'd be able to replace all the damaged tack and equipment but it would take time to adjust. But one thing was for certain. Nothing would be the same again
