Opposites attract

The meeting

When Jamie and Akio first met they were in middle school in the 7th grade. They were both in detention, Jamie was there for beating up a kid while Akio had skipped class and got caught. Jamie and Akio ended up talking about why they didn't like one of their teachers and became friends by the end of the day and sat with each other at lunch and skipped class together and always hung out and had sleepovers snuck out together. By age 17 they were great friends. They both wanted to be more but they didn't tell each other and didn't know how to. Jamie and Akio met their other friend's lucy and Elliott in 9th grade, Lucy and Elliott were already dating they had been since 8th grade. All 4 of them were good friends and always hung out and hit in trouble together and covered for each other when each were in trouble but Jamie and Akio were always in detention. Jamie hadn't really changed much he still made fun of some of the kids but only if they were rude to others. He was a bully's bully it didn't make sense but Akio understood and was there for Jamie. Akio had kinda changed he was pretty popular and had lots of friends. Lucy was with her other friend Alli making their teacher's life hell and always trying to make every class terrible for the teachers but great for the kids. One day when they were all at lunch Alli walked over with a sour look on their face and then looked at Jamie and said something him. "You got outed" said Alli, Jamie was confused "what do you mean outed?" Said Jamie. Alli said "I over heard you saying you were gay to Lucy" Jamie was speechless and didn't know what to say all he thought was he wanted to run away and just sink into the ground and die "some other kids over heard you speaking to Lucy about it and told everyone" said Alli. Jamie just ran, He ran into the boys bathroom and into the farthest stall from the entry and was just sitting there crying worried what would happen. Akio and Elliot ran after him but hadn't found him. They both looked for about 10-15 minutes until they heard him walk out of the bathroom. "Jamie!" Said Akio "are you ok?!? Do you want to talk about it? do you want to go home?" Said Elliot. They were both very concerned eventually lunch was over and Jamie, Akio, Lucy, and Alli all went to band Elliot was in choir so he went to social studies after lunch. Jamie wasn't up to playing so he told the teacher he couldn't play. Jamie played guitar Lucy played clarinet and Alli did saxophone, Akio did percussion. The rest of class Jamie sat in the corner of the class until it was over and he could go to Math. Math was Jamie's favorite subject and he had the class with Akio and Alli. They all say together and did their assignment. By the end of the day the entire school had found out jame was gay and kids were laughing at him and calling him the f slur. When Jamie and Akio were walking to Akios house Jamie said "you know I'm kinda glad I'm out now" Akio was confused "wait what why?" Said Akio. "Because I can finally be me at school and not have to hide who I am" said Jamie. Akio and Jamie were quiet for the rest of the walk until they got on the bus. "Do you want to listen to music or sit in silence?" Said Akio, Jamie said "music please" with a face that was happy. His face made Akio smile with happiness because he knew Jamie was happy.
