Cold, dark, depressing, and dangerous. These were words commonly used around multiple facilities to describe the SCP foundation. The very foundation which looks to protect normalcy from otherworldly creatures. Most of which are locked within. No, this does not come without risk, for a good portion of these creatures are sentient, and most of the time, violent. And these creatures usually do not take kindly to being in containment.

The plague doctor, or Scp-049 sat in his dark cell alone. He had been accompanied earlier by a scientist trying to pry information out of him. Though, they were long gone. The doctor simply sighed as he polished one of his medical tools out of his bag. Though, he was caught off guard by the sound of an alarm, specifically the breach alarm. After hearing the alarm, 049 grinned knowingly and set his equipment back in his bag. Before too long, the heavy door to his cell slid open. He raises from his seat and made his way out of his cell, his personal prison. The screams of the 'innocent' lives being taken by these monstrous creatures were heard all around the facility, at least for the first few minutes before the majority of them had fallen silent and the humans, once full of life, met their fate at the hands of these creatures they sought to contain.

Scp-049 was joined in the hall by his old friend of many years, now known as Scp-035. The familiar theater mask had possessed the body of a scientist, and was bounding down the hall to catch up with the plague doctor. The doctor in question turned his head in order to greet the mask as he approached. Once by his friend's side, 035 doubled over slightly and panted heavily. 049 shook his head, "Did you run all the way down here?" he asked with a hint of a chuckle in his voice. 035 could only nod as he wheezed, trying to regain his breath. The doctor pats the mask's back before he begun walking again. The mask quickly, not to mention dramatically, jumped up and fell into step with his friend.

The pair walked for a while down the winding halls, taking various elevators and passing other Scps along the way. The pair eventually came to an old office, ducking inside and shutting the door to rest. The mask took the free couch as the doctor looked around the space for anything that might be of use. He eventually spotted a level 3 key card and slipped it into his pocket before slipping into the spot next to his companion. The mask seemed to grin at the masked doctor, who decided to actually relax for once. With a soft sigh, the doctor asks, "Yes?" The mask proceeded to quickly shake his head. "Oh nothing, just admiring the view." the mask flirted, which caused the other to huff. 049 slightly shook his head and fell silent before flipping through his leather bound notebook.

Unknown to him, the action actually hurt 035 a bit. He always had a bit of a thing for the darker Scp. Though he didn't wish to ruin the friendship he managed to build with the other. That in itself was no easy task. The expression of the mask shifted into the common Tragedy look. Though he turned his head the other way in an attempt to hide it from the doctor. Unfortunately, the doctor noticed. "What's wrong?" the doctor's voice broke the silence. The mask replied all too quickly, "Nothing. I'm fine." The doctor didn't buy it for a second, even when the mask forced his expression to change back. The doctor gave the other one of his looks, even if the other can only see his eyes. The mask sighed before caving. He had danced around the subject for too long.

"Well doc..." he began, shifting his position to face the doctor more effectively, "I have this... thing for someone I know. He has no idea even though I keep dropping hints, and I don't just want to tell him, in case it affects our current relationship." he explains, being as vague as possible. The doctor sighs in response, "Look, Thirty-Five, if he is a true friend, nothing will change if you tell him. He may accept it, you never know. Or, you could just show him if you wish him to know that way." The mask hums in thought, debating on if he should do it or not. He took a deep breath, gave a mental 'fuck it' before he sat up straight and grabbed the doctor by the front of his robes, giving the poor doctor a bit of a fright. Before he was able to register what was going on, 049 felt a pair of lips on his and the side of the mask's face pressing slightly against his beak. The doctor froze in response, not sure how to react.

Soon enough, the doctor settled on letting his eyes shut, returning the mask's kiss. His hands found their way to the other's waist, resting there a moment before the mask pulled back, about to mutter an apology. Though, the doctor beat him to it. "Thirty-Five, I apologize for being so dense. I Should have seen it." he muttered to the mask. The mask's smile seemed to get wider as he asked, "Well?" The doctor could only chuckle as he shook his head, "Of course." he simply stated. The mask was overjoyed and threw his arms around the other, resting against him. The doctor rubbed his back softly as they rested, knowing they had to leave sometime soon to avoid being caught.

They rested for around 20 minutes before they left. They started down the halls again, miraculously avoiding all guards and MTF personnel. They were amazed that they hadn't been caught yet. Even more so as they made it to one of the gates with a higher key card they found along the way. It took them so long, but they were finally so close.
