Sayokos wish will eventually be fulfilled...
When that day comes what will become of me?
Everytime we do what she wants she beggins looking more transparent. Now she's at the point where I could see what's behind her.
"Miss Yoko look at this!" said Sayoko in a playful tone, she was passing through the table. "You're becoming more and more like those ghosts I see in movies." I reached out my hand in an attempt to pat her head however my hand passes through her. Both of us we're confused with what just happen.
Lost for words the two of only looked at each other in silence."Sayoko... Does this mean it's almost time?" she didn't answer me. Is she upset? but didn't she want to pass on? "Let's have breakfast! My mouth is feeling lonely. I also have a place I wanted to go to tomorrow! I'll tell you once we eat." ignoring my question she changed the subject and sprinted to the dinning room. I'll take that as a yes.
The little girl didn't seem to be bithered by the fact that her time with me will be cut short. She kept on discussing about going to the mall and to an amusement park that just recently opened. "Okay.. okay. I promise well go to all of thos places tomorrow. Eat your food before it gets cold." today we were having curry again upon her request "Smells amazing! Bon appetit!"
Sayoko was stunned, I had no idea why until I looked at her hand. Sayoko could no longer pick up the spoon. Shocked, she was frozen on the spot it took her a while to get her senses back.
"Well that's a shame... hehe. I was really looking forward to eating that curry."
"Aren't you hungry?"
"It's fineeee. Ghost don't need to eat! But living people do so you should eat your food."
"Sayoko I'm a bit worried."
"Why? Shouldn't you be happy that I'll be passing on soon? I'm a nuisance and I know that surely Miss Yoko would want me to go away sooner and anywa-"I stood up and slammed the table preventing her from saying anything else. Sayoko... she had a frightened look on her face. The atmosphere was heavy... where have I felt this before? My chest was tightening up, it's getting harder to breathe. 1..2..1..2.. sighing I sat back. Apologize now.
"Sayoko I'm sorry it's just that... You're not a nuisance. I love having you around. Don't say that to yourself ever again okay?"
"That means you should also stop thinking you're a nuisance to society Miss Yoko."
"How'd you know that?"
"I know everything about you! I also know that you really want me to stay here with you forever. Even if you keep things to yourself I'll still find out about it, so it's no use hidding stuff from me."
"You might be young but at least you're not dumb."
"But now I have another request..."
"What is it?"
"Could you eat my breakfast?"If course... I guess I'll have a pretty full stomach today. Just pray I won't get fat... good luck to my small tummy. Eating all that curry was a challenge. Compared to my plate that only had a few curry Sayokos plate was a whole mountain filled with it. Did I also have this kind of appetite back then?
At least I didn't vomit it out.
Yesterday came, now we're at the mall picking out clothes. "This one! No wait... this looks better. That purple one looks cute, but blue suits you more." I thought that Sayoko was supposed to be the one wearing the clothes why me? I heared a gasp from the ghost. It seems like she finally picket out an outfit for me. "This! You have to try this on!" she picked up the dress by it's hanger but it suddenly went through her hands causing it to fall down, good thing I caught it before the dress hit the floor. "Miss Yoko I'm sorry." there was panic in her voice. Immediately she apologetically bowed down did she think I was gonna scold her? "Hey I'm not in any way mad at you. You've done worse things." I reached out my hand to pat her head until I remembered her current state.
