Sarah rifled through her drawers, only to pause as she came across a hot dog wrapped in a paper.
"Isn't that Denton's paper," Caroline questioned, uncertainly.
"Les," she called out, "What is this."
"Saving it," Les defended. as he grabbed the hot dog, leaving the paper in Sarah's hands. Sarah stared at the paper for a moment with wide eyes.
"David," She smiled happily, "It's Denton's article. 'The Dark Truth; Why Our City Really Fears The Newsies Strike' by Bryan Denton. 'Last night I saw naked force exercised against mere boys, the newsies, who were,'" she stopped reading as David exited the apartment, slamming the window behind him.
"Poor David," Bonnie winced.
The scene switched over to Jack being led into the basement of the World building by Weasel.
"One trick, cowboy, and it's right back to the refuge," he warned, "Please." he dared.
"Jerk," Jeremy muttered.
"Are you going to be requiring anything else this evening, huh?" Mr. Weasel sneered, "No?" he sighed, "tsk, tsk, Well then, I ought to be saying good night, remember, one trick and I go straight to Mr. Pulitzer." he threatened.
"Wanker," Kol agreed.
The screen switched to the next morning, Jack coming to collect his papers from upstairs, "Sleep well, Cowboy?" Mr. Weasel smirked meanly.
"Dick," Damon shouted at the screen.
"Come with us Cowboy, we're gonna go fix you're pal, Davey," Oscar mocked, "Fix him so he can't walk," he finished meanly, heading down the stairs.
"He better not!" Caroline yelled, outraged.
Jack attempted to follow in anger, only for Mr. Weasel to stop him, "Ah! Lift one finger and it's right back to the Refuge," he warned, "Next!" he called out, oblivious to the terror that flashed through Jack's face.
"Henrik," Esther whispered sadly.
The screen switched over to Sarah and Les walking down the street, Sarah carrying a basket, and Les play fighting air with a wooden sword. Oscar Delancey appeared from behind her, following, only noticing him after a few minutes.
"'scuse me Sweet face," Oscar played off with a smirk. Sarah continued on her way, Oscar still following only for Morris to step in front of her, blocking her off, "Where's your little brother, Tootsie? Where's little Davey?" he mocked, slapping the basket out of her hands.
"Rude," Caroline huffed.
She tried to escape only for Morris and Oscar to shove her around, catching Les's attention.
"Leave my sister alone!" he yelled swinging his wooden sword only for Oscar to catch it, and throw him towards the gutters.
"Stop it!" Sarah pleaded, held back by Morris. Les stood up and swung at Oscar only for him to dodge.
"Leave him alone!" Sarah screamed out as Oscar threw Les into a pile of garbage cans and Morris dragged Sarah into an alleyway.
"You stupid ape," Sarah hissed, punching him in the face and making him stumble slightly.
"Go girl power," Bonnie whooped slightly.
Unfortunately it didn't last long, and Morris tried to grab only for to sprint further into the alleyway, Oscar and Morris at her heels.
