When karnilla locked me out that night,which had become a routine, I told Jay and he was suspicious and didn't think that it was a good idea he felt that she was probably planning somthing
I felt the same way so I told him not to go. After a few minutes he got this determined look on his face and said
"I will go"
"What,no you will not" I told him
"Yes,I will it might help our situation she might let you come to my house and me to yours" he said with a hopefull gaze
"No,Jay she will never change you dont know the twisted way her mind works" I told him
"Its worth try,I mean whats the worse thing that can happen?" He argued
"You don't know her,it could get nasty" he would not listen.
I was washing the dishes when there the door bell rang.
"MAYA GET THAT!" Karnilla yelled from upstairs with a sigh I washed the foam off my hands and opened the door and I was shocked to discover that it was Jay.
"Jay,what are you doing here?" I hugged him
"You know,you invited me" he said
"No, you invited your self you mean.Please Jay think about this,you dont have to do this" I had a really bad feeling about this, it was really deep, I couldn't explain it.
"Hello, you must be Jayden Brown" karnilla said as she came down the stairs "I am karnilla,Maya's mother,Maya take Jayden in to the living room.I will be joining you shortly" she said with sickly sweet smile. She was dressed so perfectly and elegantly to any other person she might even look like a good mother.
I hesitantly led Jay to the kitchen.He looked around with a amazed expression on his face
"Wowwwwww! Your house is so cool!" He said
"Yeah its pretty big, its all because of my dads hard work" I said proudly
I finished washing the dishes while Jay sat there for 5 minutes waiting for karnilla
"I am so sorry to have kept you waiting but there was some very important business I had to attend to" she smiled sweetly "Im sure after waiting this long you must be thirsty" she took out a glass of orange juice from the fridge which was weird she placed it in front of Jay who looked up at her confused
"Yes, I know what you must be thinking but I was really excited that I was finally getting to meet a friend of maya's so I made sure that you were provided the best of the best, It tastes better if it is stored in a glass in the fridge" she explained
"Um,thankyou mrs..."
"Call me Karnilla" she stated
"Karnilla but this wasn't necessary, I dont feel right drinking it. I mean I'm not that special."
"You must drink it, after I went through all that effort you refuse to drink it " she snarled her tone beginning to get nasty "I must say I feel quite disappointed.You must drink it" she insisted very sweetly but firmly.
Jay didnt know how nasty she was. At this point even I didn't know how far she could go to get what she wants but I was soon to find out. Jay never harmed anyone,he only saw the good in people, didn't like getting into arguments or upsetting people, he liked to make people happy.
He smiled at me and then drank the juice.
