Story 1: The Shadow In The House: Part I

The Enigma has been stuck inside the old house for years until one day he heard a lot of noise coming from outside, so he peeked out of one of the 2nd story windows to see a van and a big truck 'there were four people an older man handing a woman a cardboard box then he saw a teenage boy carrying a box inside the house along with a young girl, "Are they moving in?" The Enigma thought.

It was later in the day when The Enigma finally got his answer, "This house is great!" He heard the girl yell, "Let's try and use our inside voice 'now." The woman told the girl. "This is great! It's been so long since I've been around humans let alone an entire family!" The Enigma excitedly thought. The Enigma always hid in the closets during the day when people were home but came out whenever night fell, and if no one was home.

The Enigma thought he was alone in the house and decided to look around, "What a beautiful place they've turned this place into!" He thought, looking around the living room, 'he then went from room to room looking in marvel he eventually ended up in the little girl's bedroom. He passed through the door to the bedroom and was surprised to see the little girl was sitting in the middle of her floor playing with her toys, "Shoot! I thought I was alone! What do I do?" He frantically thought, "Did someone say something?" The girl asked, looking up from her toys, "What? Can she hear me?" He thought. She looked up and saw The Enigma standing in front of her closed door, "Hi!" She said upon seeing him, "Hello..." He replied. "Do you have a name?" She asked, The Enigma tilted his head slightly, trying to remember what a name was, "I can't remember what a name is..." He answered. The girl giggled, "Silly you, how do you forget what a name is?" She asked, "I don't know... could you tell me what a name is?" The Enigma replied, his voice raspy. "Well, A name is something you call someone or yourself 'it can have a meaning or sometimes no meaning at all!" She explained with a smile, "What is your name?" He asked. "Elizabeth and if you don't mind I'm going to call you Henry!" Elizabeth said excitedly, "Henry... I like that name." Henry said with a smile. "Hey 'Henry what are you?" She asked him, "I don't even know anymore..." He replied, "That's sad. Have you always been in this house, 'alone?" Elizabeth asked. Then the sound of the front door opening filled the house, "Whatever you do 'don't tell your parents that I exist!" Henry shouted 'running into the girl's open closet. "Elizabeth! We're home!" The Dad shouted, she ran over to her closet "Don't worry I'll keep you a secret." She quickly whispered 'closing the closet door. Her bedroom door opened; it was her brother, "Hey, we're home." He said, "I know. I heard Dad." She answered, visibly annoyed. "Well, okay. Also 'were you talking to someone in here?" He asked, "Nope! Why would you say that?" She replied a little too quickly. "I just thought I heard voices 'is all." He explained, "Well, it's just me in this room 'so get out!" She shouted, pointing towards the door; he walked out of the room 'shutting the door behind him. She listened for his footsteps to fade out then she spoke: "Ok, he's gone." Henry's pulsating midnight black hand passed through the closet door in the shape of a thumbs up 'Elizabeth did the same. Soon night fell upon the earth and the family went to sleep, "Today was a strange day, I could have died or even worse I could've driven the family away from the house! But 'luckily none of that happened 'instead I made a friend!" Henry thought. "Now all I have to do is make sure I don't scare off the family though it'll be harder than it looks I bet. I could use Elizabeth..." He wondered, "You'll soon find that to be quite impossible..." A deep devilish voice spoke to Henry, "Who said that?" Henry asked into the quiet house but there was no answer.
