No News Is Good News

This is a long one of just filler really, to get where I need the story to be. A good amount of the information below was from the Wiki MCU fandom page, which is what I generally base my timeline on. It helps fill in the blanks.

(Soleil's POV)

Soleil was beginning to wonder why peaceful days could never last as long as she wanted them to, and was starting to believe that 'world peace' was just too much to ask. Eight days since the break-in at the compound and seven days since the Pym HQ's explosion, Hydra appears in a small village located in Eastern Europe; somewhere in Ukraine with a giant robot named Ultimo. Having used parts from the destroyed Ultron sentries that have not been collected due to the civilians who wanted no part of being involved with heroes anymore, the DODC never had the chance of cleaning up, and Soleil was not going to push it and receive further wrath.

Friday had informed Soleil and Tony of a message Steve had left for them as they departed the compound on the Quinjet, taking the new Avengers to deal with the problem. Soleil had to stop Tony from blasting off in his suit to go join them because they had already made their choice, and she was surprised at how quickly she had to remind him of it.

"Tony, they'll be fine. I'm sure they can handle it."

"I know...but..."

"You feel the need to be a part of it." Soleil smiled softly at him as she placed a hand on his shoulder but gave it a firm squeeze, relaying her seriousness. "You have this urge that drives you to be of service. But I'm telling you now, Sweetheart, your services are needed right here."

Tony looked at her and let her move him back into his seat, placing his hand over hers and giving it a squeeze. "You're right, Honey."

Soleil leaned down and kissed the crown of his head. "I am glad you're seeing it my way. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Tony said and Soleil could hear the cocky grin through his tone before he moved on. "Though I don't feel particularly happy that you're reading me as if I'm an open book all the time. I liked to believe I'm more complex than that."

"Given that you have this large sense of duty that you shroud behind sarcasm and a huge ego, and the fact that Hydra used damaged Ultron sentry parts..." Soleil pointed out as she moved to sit in the chair beside him and leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes and letting out a sigh. "You feel responsible to help, but it is okay to let the others share some of your burdens."

"See, this. This vulnerability and transparency that you have managed to pull out of me is something I'm not used to...and most certainly don't like. You need to stop it~!"

"Maybe in our next lifetime~. And I think I heard a 'but' coming."

"But~! That is one of the many reasons as to why I love you, Honey." Tony said as he leaned his head against hers and continued to work without moving too much in order to not disturb Soleil, whose slowed and even breath could be heard beside him.

Within a few hours, Soleil was proven right on the fact that the new Avengers could handle the whole Ultimo issue. Captain America provided a quick mission report and explained that Falcon and Black Widow went after leaders controlling the giant robot, while Vision stopped Hydra from getting further video footage. When he was finished with that, the android joined War machine, Wanda, and Pietro Maximoff in order to work together and eventually end up taking down Ultimo. Destroying the giant robot, that group of Hydra agents, and the rest of Ultron's sentry parts completely -hopefully for good this time-.

Steve sounded quite content with the outcomes of the mission and how well the new team worked together, getting out with little to no casualties and only Wanda and Rhodey suffering from some minor injuries.
