And the gods showered celestial flowers on the head of Partha the slayer of foes. And thousands of Brahmanas began to wave their upper garments in joy. And all around, the monarchs who had been unsuccessful, uttered exclamations of grief and despair. And flowers were rained from the skies all over the amphitheatre. And the musicians struck up in concert. Bards and heralds began to chant in sweet tones the praises (of the hero who accomplished the feat). And beholding Arjuna, Drupada--that slayer of foes,--was filled with joy. And the monarch desired to assist with his forces the hero if the occasion arose. And when the uproar was at its height, Yudhishthira, the foremost of all virtuous men, accompanied by those first of men the twins, hastily left the amphitheatre for returning to his temporary home. And Krishna beholding the mark shot and beholding Partha also like unto Indra himself, who had shot the mark, was filled with joy, and approached the son of Kunti with a white robe and a garland of flowers. And Arjuna the accomplisher of inconceivable feats, having won Draupadi by his success in the amphitheatre, was saluted with reverence by all the Brahmanas. And he soon after left the lists followed close by her who thus became his wife.'"

The King of panchala drupad had organised the Swayamvar of his beautiful daughter draupadi. The pandavs who had heard of Draupadi too wanted to participate in the Swayamvar.
Swayamvar Day...
At the Swayamvar assembly ,the Pandavs sat next to other Brahmins away from the royal dignitaries as they did not want to revel their identity . No one in the assembly recognised the Pandavs espect lord shri krishna.
King drupad greeted and honoured all the guests and participants .
And dhrushtadhyumna annouced that his sister draupadi was going to enter the hall . Amidst the sounds of drums and melodious music , princess draupadi accompanied by her friends entered the Swayamvar hall.
As soon she entered all eyes turned toward her as she was looking an apsara from heaven .
After that dhrushtadhyumna explain the task and then the event began .....Number of prince came forward and tried their luck one after the other .
But none of them were successful with long face they returned to their seats .
Drupad and Dhrushtadhyumna were getting worried since all of the prince present at the function had failed .Finally Arjun sought Yudhishtir's permission to participate in the contest . With his elder brothers and lord Krishna contest, Arjun still in the guise of a Brahmin walked towards the stage .
People were amazed to see a Brahmin trying to achieve a feat in which valiant prince had miserably failed .
'He must be crazy' remarked one of the king .
Staying clam , Arjun picked up the bow and an arrow . He looked at the reflection of fish in the oil pond and drew the bowstring and shot the arrow .
The arrow darted with a twang and priced the eye of the fish . People could not believe that a Brahmin had mastered archery better than assembled prince and kings .
Draupadi was also surprised and happy.
The princes felt insulted came forward to harm arjun and draupadi . Arjun protected draupadi . Immediately bheem defend arjun .
Soon enough .....people realised the strength of both Brahmins (arjun and bheem) .
