Everyone has secrets, even the smallest minds can hide information. Like kids saying 'It wasn't me' to their mothers when their caught red handed. Some secrets are more important than others. The kind that can ruin a person's reputation. The kind of secrets that can end a person's life. Secrets are never a good thing. It's a pain in the ass to keep them in. And when it comes out It feel so good~, almost liberating but at the same time, it's a heart crushing sensation, mostly when you say it to the wrong person. It hurts because it matters. That's why you always have to keep them inside your mind.
No matter what....
Secrets...secrets........secrets
My mind is full of them, more than most. It's like a library full of old and new books that I can't share with anybody. I'm the only one sitting at a table surrounded by a maze of bookshelves. It's....it's lonely. But it's the only way to keep the ones I love safe and secrets are a great way to blackmail people! It brings me such a thrill seeing the fear in their eyes.

I close the journal that I was writing in. I named it 'no man's land' because nobody is ever gonna read it. No....man's... land...like my mind nobody will ever find a way inside. Uwwwww, I should write this down, that was really good. Maybe some other time since it's my turn to order something.
"Hello, can I take your order?" Says a cheerful young lady with a wide smile on her face. She looks like the type that has a big dream that she wants to pursue and live a happy humbled life. If she really wants a chance of that ever happening, the first step is to get out of this god forsake city. I should know, I'm one of the reasons it's like this.
"Good morning" I replied with a friendly smile on my face. "Can I have a large green tea with a chocolate chip muffin please" I continued.
The woman seemed relieved at my cheerful tone. I guess I'm her first costume that's not a complete jackass.
"Of course, that will be 12,49" She says.
I hand her the money and made sure to leave a 5 dollar bill as a tip. It's hard to find people like her these days. I give her one last soft smile then move to my right to wait for my order.
I love this place. If you find a way to block out the yapping of angry customers and the filling of the sticky floors on the souls of your shoes you can find a peaceful place. Since it's a small coffee chop the aromas of the different drinks and pastries fill up the room. Much better than the standard smell of pollution. This place reminds me of how simple life can be. It's nice having a way to disconnect yourself from all your troubles. Even if it only lasts a couple of minutes.
A small wave from the woman that took my order snaps me back to reality. She's holding my order in her hand. I take my delicious smelling food and say goodbye to the lady before leaving the establishment.
The cold breeze hits my body and sends a shiver down my back. Winter is coming earlier this year. That's gonna slow down the transport of my... 'product'. I will have to find a way to deal with that when I get home.
The streets are noisy. Not only by the grumpy people walking to their jobs. Jobs that they most likely hate. But it's also filled with the sirens on police cars that are patrolling the streets. What are they looking for? Well I-.... sorry, the Trickster owns one quarter of the police force in Gotham city. And "he" asked his men to arrest some group members of Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot also known as The Penguin. My-...Trickster's plan is to reduce Oswald's numbers and take him out when he's weak. If Trickster can take him out, then he will become the most powerful criminal in Gotham city. It will take time and lots of patience but the outcome will be amazing.
The cop that is observing pedestrians on the sidewalk took an interest in me. I can feel his eyes piercing my skin, looking at me like I'm some piece of meat. I guess that's one of the downfalls of having a secret identity, you only have respect when you wear the mask. We make eye contact for just a second.
Light brown eyes, short dark brown hair, big nose (it looks like it has been broken before), sharp jawline, clean shave, no scars on his face, name on his name tag... Jack F. He's a handsome guy such a shame he has a disgusting smirk on his face. Might have to pay him a visit later tonight.
I make my way home. It's nothing out of the ordinary, just a two story house. When you walk in there's the living room to your left and the kitchen is to your right. If you continue straight you will find the stairs that leads you to the second floor. Upstairs there's the master bedroom and a library that I also use as my home office. Every room is decently furnished in a way that nobody will ever suspect that the lady living here is actually a billionaire criminal mastermind.
I put down my drink that's now half empty and my muffin on the kitchen counter. I take off my light brown leather jacket and toss it on my shoulder. It has many wrinkles on the material,so I should really buy a new one before it falls apart. Such a shame, I really like the story behind it. You see, two years ago I bought it from a homeless guy for 2000 bucks. I know, ridiculous right? I was expecting him to buy a shit ton of drugs and just overdose but to my surprise he got his shit together. He got a job and both an apartment. Nothing fancy of course but still that impressive. Some time I will say hi to him in the grocery store. He's actually a really nice guy. Kinda feels good seeing him happy.
Anyways, I take my meal and make my way to my home office where I usually fill out paperwork for a small library that I own. That's where my legal income comes from. It's called 'The Castle'. I take a bite of the muffin before placing it and the beverage on one side of my desk. It doesn't taste fresh anymore, what a shame. I should have just eaten it when the nice lady gave it to me. Whatever, I'll do that next time. I place my leather jacket on the backrest of my chair. The old office chair squeaks when I put my full weight on it. I open the first drawer of my desk and take out a shiny golden lighter. The thought of how great of a weapon this is, brings a smile to my face. I know, I'm not stupid, you can't just throw it to somebody and they will instantly die. But the fear in the eyes of a person drenched in gasoline when you pull this baby out. It's thrilling!!!
I pull out 'no man's land', and rip the page that I wrote in the café. With a flick of my finger I open the lighter and watch in awe as the page burns until there is only a pile of ashes.
Did you really think I was gonna write down all my secrets in a journal? A journal that anybody can just pick up and read? If I was that stupid I would be dead by now. Only the ghosts of the people that I killed share a portion of my secrets.
Just a portion never the entirety of the story.
There are two very important rules you have to follow.
1.Never give out all the information.
2. ...
