I sit in the field, the sun blaring and the grass a bright green. Its so peaceful here, with the birds chirping quietly and my six year old brother running around collecting flowers. I smile at him as he runs up to me with a daisy in his hand.

"Look what I found Scarlett." He jumps up and down, handing me the slightly squashed flower.

"It's lovely Adam, why don't you go find another?" I ask, and he goes off again. My phone buzzes in my hand.

"Mum?" I answer.

"Scarlett, where are you? Where's Adam?" She panics.

"We're at Roseberry field. I thought you were at work." I say.

"I was, I got let off work early. You need to come home now. Something-something's wrong,I can feel it." She is panicking again.

"Mum. I'm 15. I can take care of my brother." I laugh.

"No, you don't understand. All the guns were stolen from high security guard in London. Please, I'm so worried, just come home now." She sounds like she is in tears.

"Okay, relax, we're coming home now." I say, ending the call and placing my phone in my pocket.

I look up, and there is someone standing 50 metres away from me. Dressed in all black, with a balaclava covering his entire face. I can just see a pair of piercing green eyes and pink lips. Then I notice the gun.

"Adam, come here now please." I say calmly, not taking my eyes off the strange man, I'm pretty sure it's a man, in front of me as I hear Adams footsteps get closer.

"Scarlett, who is that?" He whispers in my ear when he collapses on my lap. He is only six, but he is not stupid.

"I don't know Adam, that's why we are leaving now." I try to reassure him, my eyes still trained on the man.

"Will he hurt us?"

"No, of course not." I say, taking his face in my hands and looking him in the eyes. At the exact moment I take my eyes away from the man, I hear a gunshot. Adam collapses onto my chest. I see the blood seeping through the back of his shirt, and tears form in my eyes. I look back up at the man, and see him smirk at me before running off out of sight.

My brother has been murdered, and I know that this is only the beginning.
