Slowly
I have been updating slowly
Because I don't want it to come to an end
Only a few more poems after this one
But I promise to make a second book
When I started this book
I had written only a few poems before
And it was all so new
It has now become a newly founded love
Perhaps I will always prefer novel writing
But poetry will always be there, as well
To help me get through those tough times
When I just need to let it all out
To all of my readers
I love you to death
I apologize for updating slowly
But I hate to come to a close on this chapter
I look forward to a new one - adventure and excitement will follow
But until then, I don't want to say goodbye
To this poetry book
Most of my poems mean something to me
Only a few are based off of fictitious stories or things I've heard
All of the people I write about, all the things I've experienced
Slowly you are getting to know me
As this is basically my diary
I've changed a lot since my first poem
But that's alright
Poetry has helped me to grow
And get through those rough patches
Poetry will always be here for me
As my readers, I will always be there for you.
