I was sitting there terrified like a kitten next to a dog .wondering if Lisa would say yes or no. You see, me and Lisa had been friends since we were in pre-k. But I've had a crush on her all threw elementary school but she had no clue. So I thought that maybe since we're in middle school and there's a dance coming up that maybe I could ask her and she'd say yes. But then interrupting my thoughts Jonny the school bully showed up, "what are you doing you brad ,or should I say brat? No I'm kidding your a rat. Ummm... uh nothing"." What's that in your hand"? Then all of a sudden he grabbed the note and ran. NO, I said frantically while chasing him threw the halls. Then all of a sudden a teacher showed up and Jonny dropped the letter. She grabbed both of us and took us to the principals office, there I heard , click thump, click thump from the people in the office typeing things. They gave us a grouchy look like angry pugs ,and said assuming we were in trouble that the principal is in his office. Then went back to typing. After me and Johnny visited the principals office we ended up getting detention. Johnny gave me a deadly look that put chills down my back I new I was in trouble. But just then I remembered that I had lost the note, Johnny dropped it. No, I said with tears forming in my eyes. But then Mr. Rogers came up carrying the not and said hey brad is this yours. My heart skipped a beat. The one person who had to find it was Mr. rogers Lisa's dad!! Um yes sir I said more scared than I'd hoped to be. Hear you go son hope she says yes, you have my permission. I smiled half embarrassed that he found it in the first place. But then a thought popped in my head if he gave me permission or whatever that was then that means she probably likes me to ,so with my restored confidence I proudly walked up to Lisa and gave her the note, then with a pitied face she said I'm sorry brad but I'm not allowed to date. I didn't argue with her instead I just walked of because I new that her father would of let her date me, she just didn't like me. So I walked off defeated, when all of a sudden, smack!!! Julie slipped on the floor face first. I ran to her side to help her are you ok. Yes I'm fine she said with a faint smile. Oh yeah I was looking for you I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the dance with me? Wait really you want to go with me? Yes of course I liked you for quit a long time , so yes no. Yes of course. So that Friday night I was having fun when I saw Lisa dancing with Johnny. She looked at me then smiled mouthing I told you I would get you back. I wasn't happy about that but I decided i wasn't going to let it ruin my night so I kept my mind off of the subject and had tons of fun but don't think i went home that day without my first kiss. But from my experience I learned to never jump to conclusions.
