CHAPTER 1 - ARRIVAL

The ocean span for miles, as far as the eye could see. It was as though this mesmerising island was so isolated that it seemed as though life refused to go anywhere near it. Creatures in the depths of the icy waters wouldn't dare near the shore. Birds couldn't be heard. The only noise was the ocean hitting the rocks and laying itself upon the yellow sand that adorned the rim of the island.

You could feel the small grains of sand digging into your cheeks, stuffing itself between your fingers and falling between the creases in your clothes. All you could see was black, but you could hear everything, or what seemed like everything. Your hearing seemed to heighten the longer you kept your eyes closed. The scuffling along dirt seemed to ring through to you which made no sense, since you were on a beach, right?

Hushed whispers could be heard and before you knew it you could feel something very pointy poking into your side. Slowly but surely you opened your eyes, easing them into the bright day light. You could make out around 20 pairs of brown leather like shoes. Well, you assumed they were shoes since they were attached to legs however they looked very hand made, almost as though someone had just asked a child to have a go at making shoes for the first time.

You looked up, staring into every pair of eyes while scuffling around to get a look at every one of the boys that surrounded you in a sacrifice like circle. They were all children.

(Your POV)

As I moved around, more and more sand seemed to fall into my clothes. I jumped up, the world slightly spinning and clearly everyone else could see it too since one of the older looking boys stepped forwards slightly to catch me in case I fell over. I brushed the sand off of my pants, the light grey sweatpants clearly not the correct things to wear to a beach. I juggled the clothing about a bit, trying to get as much sand out of my pants as possible before holding my arms together in a stand off-ish stance.

"Where am I? Who are you guys?"

"Slow down darling" One of the older boys stepped forward. He pulled down the hooded cape he was wearing so I could see his face. My eyes were drawn straight to the huge scar that rand down the right side of his face. Though it looked old, it still looked raw.

'Who could've done such a brutal thing to a boy?' I though to myself.

"Again, where the fuck am I?" I asked again, this time looking the boy up and down. I need to make myself look as intimidating as possible.

"You're In Neverland Sweetheart" He answered.

"Like the fairy tale? Neverland as in Peter Pan and Captain Hook and Mermaids and Tinkerbell? And lost boys as well? I'm sure you also want me to believe in man eating crocodiles, huh?" I spat back. There's absolutely no way he's telling the truth.

'He's messing with me. He has to be!'

"Yes. To all of it. I'm not going to force you to believe, that'll come in time, but trust me it's easier to believe now than have him force you to"

"Who's him?" I asked. Was there someone else?

"You'll find out soon enough Darling, now come with us quietly. We have someone who wants to meet you" He smirked.

'There is no way I'm trusting that grin'

I blinked twice before bolting. I jumped between two of the smaller boys before running through the thick jungle. I heard a whistle behind me before whooping and lots of rustling.

'They're following me. They're chasing me!'

I picked up my speed, jumping over logs and just barely skimming trees that popped out of no where. It's almost as though the nature wanted to catch me. Slip me up. Get me caught. I couldn't risk it. I don't know who those people are. They could kill me for all I know. Maybe eat me alive. That boy sounded insane but there was something about the way he talked that makes me want to believe he was telling the truth.
