Jonah's POV

Eben soon arrives to pick me up but as we left the building there was paparazzi following us and asking tons of questions like "what happened" " why are you at the police station" I didn't respond because there really was anything to tell so I got in the car and we drove off
Jo:"What happened after I left"
Eben: "not much they just wanted to know what happened and how long you'd be there"
Jo: "what about Daniel? Is he ok, he look really upset when I was leaving in the cop car."
Eben: "yeah um.. he didn't say much but he did say that he felt everything was trying to tare you two apart."
Jo: "This wasn't supposed to happen, you know. Everything was fine and we were all good but now I feel like I hurt him worse"
Eben: "I know Jonah. Things happen that we don't expect but you need to know how to handle them"
Jo: "How? How do I handle the fact that all the things that happened didn't just affect me but they affected Daniel! He never deserved any of this! All of it is my fault!"
Eben: "Jonah you have handled every single problem that has come your way and you made Daniel feel at home with you! You know Daniel's not the only one that feels like something is taring you two apart.  Oh yeah and Corbyn told me about the chat y'all had. You know why you both feel this way?
Jo: why?
Eben: Because there is! But that's only because you two have avoided the biggest issue you've had! Like think about it why was Daniel mad at you I the first place?
Jo: because he seen Corbyn and I kiss.
Eben: ok so why was Daniel mad at you the second time?
Jo: because Corbyn showed him the video before I could tell him about it.
Eben: now what caused you to tell your parents about you and Daniel.
Jo: because I needed to do it before Corbyn did!
Eben: So what's the Problem?
Jo: Corbyn!
Eben: Not exactly. Have you thought about what happened to Corbyn that night? I was with him through most of it he wasn't that drunk. Actually he was almost completely sober.
Jo: What are you saying? Corbyn kissed me on purpose? Like it was his choice not the alcohol's?
Eben: yeah bro, you said it yourself he was trying to break you guys up.
Jo: I'm gonna kill him!
Eben: what no! Jonah why do you think he would want to break you guys up?
Jo: Because he wants Daniel! That's why he had his arm around Daniel distracting me when my dad knocked me to the ground or why he showed him the video so Daniel would get mad and he could be there to comfort him! He wants to take Daniel from me.
Eben: No Jonah he likes you!
Jo: what no he doesn't. If anything he hates me.
Eben: Yeah man that's why he kissed you and he was trying to make Daniel mad so you two would break up and he could be there for YOU when it happened. He wanted to show you why you were wrong for Daniel and right for him.
Jo: how do you know maybe he just wants to piss me off cause it worked.
Eben: because I seen him look at you and the kiss,he wanted you and couldn't stand watching you and Daniel. He knew what he was doing and when Daniel would walk by.
Jo: what about Daniel's accident did he plan that too?
Eben: No that- that wasn't supposed to happen.
*they have now returned home*
Eben: Jonah I don't think what Corbyn did was right. I thought y'all would have talked by now and this would surface so you two could figure things out but it hadn't so I had to tell you! I also don't think you should be hard on him. He-
Jo: He Fucking ruined my life.
Eben: Jonah it was a stupid attempt made out of jealousy. You know what that feels like. Remember, you were so jealous of the relationship Daniel had with the other boys before you got together.
Jo: That was different. And I wasn't jealous I was upset that I wasn't as close to Daniel as the others.
Eben: ha! You were so jealous. And when I told you to talk to Daniel and tell him how you felt what happened?
Jo: He told me he liked me too and he was scared to tell me.
Eben: You more than anyone could explain to him why you can't be together and why it was wrong of him to do the things he did.
Jo: *scoffs* What about Daniel? Do I tell him about this ?
Eben: You need tell him but not right now. Trust me I talked to him he just needs you to be there. Now Go! Go get him.
