chapter 14- Road trip.

Jacobi's P.O.V.

She was still asleep when I left I guess she hasn't fully recovered. I pressed the button on the elevator to my office. When the doors sled open I was met with a smiling Taylor.

"Wussup boss man how did you sleep?" He greeted.

"Bothered and you?" I responded.

"I slept great, why bothered?" He asked.

"I did not sleep" I replied.

"Why your little kitten keep you up?" He teased.

"Actually yess" I replied

"Wait seriously I didn't think you'd be the one to fall for a human,especially her" he was shocked.

"What are you talking about, I didn't fall in love with her, I didn't sleep because I was thinking of ways to get her to open up to me about.... you know" I explained.

"Ohh! That makes sense sorry dude" he put his arm around me.

"Taylor get off of me and don't call me dude" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"My bad boss man" we walked into my office.

My assistant, Veronica walked in.

"Good evening Master Jacobi, I have an announcement. " she said.

"Yes Veronica how may I help you?" I asked.

"The Royals wish you to meet Noland McKinley to discuss the territory arrangements. " she spoke.

I completely forgot about that I still have to work with the McKinley coterie and that we still have to plan our territory arrangements.

"Yeah those wolves keep hunting on our side and if they don't stop we might end up having a war" Taylor spoke.

Veronica shot daggers at him and he winked at her. They have always had a relationship I did not understand but then again Taylor claims to be 'a ladies man' so I will never understand what he does with women.

"Alright thank you Veronica " I sent her off.

"Good bye Ronnie " Taylor smiled at her. She smiled and rolled her eyes at him. "Yeah she totally digs me " he smirked. Now it was my turn to roll my eyes.

"So road trip?" Taylor asked.

"I don't know" I replied . This didn't feel good.

"Come on, you do know that if we don't do something soon we gonna run out on animal blood, we won't be able to hunt anymore." Taylor said. He did have a point.

"I don't feel like I want to be around him after what he did to Rosey and speaking of Rosey what am I gonna do with her I can't really leave her side since I don't even know what she is but she poses a threat because she is scared."I started to spiral .

"Well you are not by her side now, why can't she come along as company?" He asked.

"Are you crazy, Noland would do anything to try and get his on her. I can't let that happen." I scolded.

"And you won't because she will be with you all the time and you can see it as threat to Noland just pretend she is dangerous and Noland will be your puppet with you pulling his strings, he will be weak against you" he proposed.

"I don't have to pretend she is dangerous but what you said could work" the more I thought about it the I felt confident about the  idea.

Rosey's P.O.V

I was sitting by the window sill basking myself in the winter sun. It was not very hot today. And I felt very cold for some reason. Winter had just started so it hasn't been that cold yet and it hasn't snowed yet.

"Enjoying the sun I see" Jacobi spoke.
He really has to stop sneaking up on me like that. I smiled softly and he came towards me  but paused when he reached the light in the room where I was. I patted the spot next to me signaling him so come sit next to me.
He drew in a deep breath then exhaled with a sigh.

I looked at him in confusion and he then came closer. His skin was coated in patterns that looked like flower roots and that only seemed to be visible in the sun only. I stared in shock.

"Every Vampire has a gift you already know  that right?" He asked.  I nodded.
"And I have a gift of mind control ,healing and speed. " he explained.

"You have all of those? Aren't you only supposed to have one?" I asked. He took off his dress shirt and exposed more him and the patterns. I watched his beautiful chest and arms that were now coated with invisible roots but they were not really invisible because I could see them in the sun.

"Yes but I am from the first family so I have special gifts. "He looked at me for a long moment. "Go ahead, I know you want to". I carefully lifted my had to touch his chest.

I felt tingles in my skin as I traced my fingers all over his chest. I smiled. I haven't felt like this in a while. Not since he has traced his fingers around my birth-mark.

"What are you thinking about" he asked.

"See for yourself "I smiled at him. I relaxed and let him read my thoughts. I felt my birth-mark tingle and I felt an urge to show him more than he was seeing. I looked at him in his eyes and maintained deep eye
contact.

Jacobi's P.O.V.

I saw her and everything she has gone through and everything I have put her through. I saw all the nightmares she had often. I saw the fires she barricaded herself with often. I saw everything. The more I saw the less I understood. There was one emotion that was stronger than the rest, one thought that was louder than the rest and one image that was clearer than the rest. She was scared. She didn't want anyone to know because she is scared that she might be taken away. She doesn't know what she is. She fears her life.

I cleared my throat. "We are going on a one week trip, pack your bags" I didn't know what to say to her.
