I left the conference room as soon as I came in, leaving my secretary to apologize for my abrupt departure. I walk around a little until I found someone who pointed me into the direction of the rooftop.
I sigh to myself into the cold air. I really did not know why I left the room. But how is it just now that I'm finding my mate?
"What is wrong with you man?", Stephan storms onto the rooftop, I spin around to stare at him for a while, I decide not to reply him, and spin back around.
"You know, I don't understand why you would do this, do you know how rude you seemed?, do you _____" , I cut off his rambling with a hard glare, he shuts it immediately.
He pauses and waits for me to say something.
"I found my mate", I turn back around .
He stares at me dumbfoundedly and blinks twice.
"You found your......?"
"My mate Stephan", I repeat, this time my voice is laced with annoyance
"Is it___ is it___ is it a boy?", he carefully questions
I decide I've received enough air and turn on my heel and walk back into the building, frankly I don't even know why I left. I finally reach the conference room and sit on my assigned seat, and SHE was seated at the other head of the table.
"She's directly in front of us" my wolf Massimo happily yelps in my head.
I ignore my silly wolf and use this period to study her.
She was currently listening to a youngish guy who was currently presenting with such intent concentration, I feel a little pang of jealousy but don't say anything, her eyebrows were a little furrowed as if she was trying to understand what the guy was saying and her pouty bright pink colored lips were scrunched together.
She was undoubtedly beautiful, gorgeous even, she had light hazelnut eyes which looked absolutely wonderful, they seemed to twinkle in the dimly lit conference room, long silky honey colored hair which pooled around her shoulders, smooth looking skin, thick full eyelashes_____
"So your mate is a boy?", Stephan curiously mind links me, interrupting my train of thoughts
Oh brother
I internally roll my eyes as I mind link him back . "What boy?", I reply grimly.
He looks towards someone as I trace his line of sight to the youngish guy who was making the presentation.
"Seriously", I sigh and shut off my mind link as I continue to stare at my mate
After a while he speaks again, "She's your mate!", Stephan suddenly mind links me, I don't reply to his comment even though he's correct.
"She's really sexy", he says again through the mid link.
I whip my head around and emit a low threatening growl
"Yup, that's definitely your mate", he concludes and finally shuts it, till the end of the meeting anyways.
The meeting is finally over, I quickly get up, shake the people on the table with a short nod, I reach her last and stare at the hand extended to me, I take her hand in mine and as soon as her fingertips graze mine, and I cover her smaller hand with mine and jolts of electricity rushes through my veins, my senses feel heightened, my eyes close to savor the moment, when I finally open my eyes, I see her staring at me with the same intensity.
Did she feel it too?
