15th April 2020:

"Hey wake up!"

Venti groaned as he reached for his pillow and held it over his head. His hangover from the 'previous' day added physical pain to his emotional pain.

But he was back.

He was back.

He had another chance to save Kaeya.

But how was he going to do that without Xiao? Was it even possible for him to save the day?

"Venti we've got to go!" Bennett's voice echoed through his ear. "Come on man, we don't want to be late!"

Venti suddenly felt his pillow being tugged, and decided to let go. Slowly, he sat up in his bed and clutched his throbbing head.

"What did I say about drinking so much?" The blonde haired boy scolded, as he reached down to his side and grabbed a water bottle - handing it over to Venti.

"Yeah, haha, I think I need another drink actually." Venti laughed awkwardly to himself, which earned an unimpressed glare from Bennett and a smack over the head. "You're lucky I came prepared."

Suddenly, and as expected, Chongyun's head popped into Venti's room.

"Hey guys we should probably leave - you know how upset Xingqiu gets when we're late." Chongyun said, Gosh Venti was really getting sick of hearing this exact conversation, he turned to Bennett with a quirked eyebrow.

"You don't want to keep Razor waiting?" He asked before Bennett could mutter a word. The blonde rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and chuckled.

"Yeah, I was actually just going to say that. How did you know?"

Venti giggled, though the sound was void of joy. "Just a guess."

Chongyun eyed him, concern evident in his gaze, "is everything okay, Venti?"

Venti rolled his eyes, "yeah, I have never been better." His body language contradicting his words probably confused his friends even more, luckily they didn't say anything on it.

Suddenly, a smirk arose on Chongyun's face making dread appear inside Venti. "Well I know something, or someone, which may help you feel better."

"Xiao.." Venti answered before the icey-blue haired boy could respond, eyes darkening at the memory.

"Uh, yeah, you know him?" Chongyun questioned, evidently confused.

"Vaguely." Venti muttered, not even bothered to try and cover it up. If he failed, which he probably would, they wouldn't even remember this conversation anyway.

And if he succeeded...

But he couldn't succeed, not alone. He didn't have the ability to do this alone. He needed Xiao, he needed help.

Although, what if Venti didn't get pulled back into another time loop? What if this was it. Since at the end of the day he wasn't given a rule book, instructions, this was all a gamble.

But he was given another chance.

Was this his final chance? Was this Kaeya's final chance? And was Venti really going to waste it moping around?

He was given another shot, and he wouldn't let Kaeya down again.

"Hey, uh, Venti?" He saw Bennett gaze at him curiously, snapping his fingers a few times.

"I've got to go." Venti muttered promptly as he jumped out of bed, ignoring his throbbing head and going over to the corner of the room to grab his hat. "I'll see you at the party. "

"Uh, wait, what?" Chongyun replied, concern visible in his eyes. "You're not going drinking again, are you?"

Venti rolled his eyes and shook his head as he reached for the door. "No, trust me. I'm going to fix everything."

"Wh- fix what?" Bennett asked, now getting really concerned. Venti just smiled kindly at him.

"I'll see you at the party." He responded, then before his friends could ask any other questions he closed his bedroom door and made his way out of the apartment.

Honestly reading this over a part of me wishes I made Zhongli, Baal and Venti roommates. Missed opportunity ngl.
