Every ruler of the Amethyst Empire must have a heir to continue the legacy of the past rulers. The crown must be passed down to the first child of the monarchs.
If the monarch doesn't have a child, they must find someone who is worthy and responsible to rule the empire.
The Amethyst Empire has already 3 families who ruled the empire
1st Generation (Sevilla'n Era)
King Thomas Sevilla married a noble female named Selena and had a Baby girl named Valentina Sevilla
Valentina Sevilla is the first royal who got the element of magic, and a great friend of the first spinjitsu master.
Valentina got married at the age of 16 and had a Daughter named Ylana
Valentina got assasinated at the age of 23 so Ylana had no choice but to rule the Empire at the age of 7

Ylana made a rule, the rule says that the next heirs of the empire must know magic already at the age of 7. She decided that rule because she wanted the next generation not to suffer from the same thing she has been through.
Ylana wrote many spells, she created many types of magic that can help the next generation.
For some reason Ylana never got married and never had a child. So she decided to adopt a child to continue the legacy
2nd Generation (Era of the Golden Dior)
Ylana adopted 2 children Ushtin Dior and Tina Dior, they were from a fallen noble family. Their biological parents died they were murdered in front of their children's eyes
Ushtin took the crown due to the retirement of his Adoptive mother Ylana and Tina remained as a princess
Ushtin discovered a way to help the people of amethyst Empire with their food problems he created a spell that made the Empire prosperous.
But then conflict came, there was a kingdom far away from ninjago, 'Lyphonia Dynasty" send a declaration of war between the empire. The purpose of the attack was to claim the land.
Ushtin trained many soldiers to protect the kingdom.
The empire won the war, but with great success one must be sacrificed.
Ushtin died during the war, leaving her sister in charge of the Empire.

Queen Tina Dior was crowned Queen at the age of 20.
She didn't really contributed for the Empire, so historians just skips her chapter.
But she had a Daughter named "Nozomi"

The new hope of the Empire "Queen of Hope, Nozomi"
Nozomi was born mute, but even in her state she made the empire more beautiful
She made combat spells to protect her self and others.
She helped peasants and commoners
She established the "Empire Knights" to protect the kingdom
She built a statue dedicated to the late Queen Ylana, who died 5 years after King Ushtin's Coronation and A statue for King Ushtine for his sacrifice to save the Empire.
But then, The Queen of hope Nozomi was murdered.
She left no heir to continue the legacy of their family.
But then, the best friend of Nozomi, the captain of the Empire knights Hannah decides to convince the empire to entrust the Empire to her in the name of Nozomi.
