-One day in the lab, Tony announced to both you and Bruce that he wanted to have a party on Saturday, you had no idea what the party was to celebrate, but both Bruce and Tony did.

-Tony never told you about their search for Loki's staff, and told the rest of the members to also withhold this information. He thought it would be the best way to keep you safe.

-On the day of the party you awoke to an empty bed, and a note on the nightstand,

Had to go on an early mission, be back this evening. Love you.

Sam

-That morning you just worked in your office, the silence of the building was your least favorite part of them being gone. The lack of your friends made the building seem like it was dead.

-Upon returning Thor immediately wandered over to you, and wrapped you into a hug, your eyebrow raising as you reciprocated the hug, "You okay there Thunderstorm?"

-He thought it was funny that after being friends for so long the best nickname you could muster was Thunderstorm.

"Yes Lady [Y/N]."

-"[Y/N],  you missed it, Cap told me Language when I swore." Tony shouted as they entered the room, Thor pulling away as you looked around him, "Now Tony, you mustn't use such foul language around the elderly, they are easily upset without their crosswords and knitting."

"Ha ha very funny." Steve replied as you looked towards the group, Nat and Clint missing, along with Sam.

"Where's the dynamic duo?" You questioned

"Clint got hit pretty bad on the field. Natasha is with him now down in the lab." Steve added, as he looked again, "Sam went to your office I believe."

"Oh." You replied, before looking at Bruce, his mind somewhere else as you placed a hand gently on his arm, "You okay Bruce?"

"Yeah, just still recovering from the big guy. Natasha said the lullaby worked really well this time around."

"I'm glad, maybe one day we can teach him to come out on demand too, make it so that you aren't taken by surprise anymore."

"I don't think he likes that plan very much." He chuckled, before you walked to the elevator, and rode it down to the lab floor.

-You walked right past your office and into the lab, to see Dr. Cho leaned over Clint, Natasha at his side, who had yet to notice your presence. However your eye was caught by something else, a glowing blue light, at the end of a staff. Approaching slowly you took in the sight of the staff, and heard Jarvis's voice, "I have direct orders to tell you to step away [Y/N]."

"Or what, he'll spank me." You sassed back, just as Tony arrived in his secret lab elevator, which he had hidden in the wall.

"That's Wilson's job." He replied as you looked at the staff, "So you want to enlighten me?"

"Not really, but I don't have much of a choice now do I?"

"Nope."

"This is Loki's staff, it was taken back in 2012, after Loki's little stunt. Hydra has been studying it, and we got it back. Thor will be taking it in a few days back to Asgard meaning...."

"Jarvis should run a full scan, and do extensive documentation of the artifact. I also would think we need to record just how much power is radiating out of that blue light. My guess is it's at least going to be a five digit number." You cut him off as he smiled, "It's like you read my mind."

-As he started the scan you wandered into the lab, where Nat smiled at you, and Clint laid there with his eyes closed, "Well thank goodness whoever shot you was as blind as you."
