A/N: I realised i wanted to go a different direction with the story so I've made a few casting changes. 'Tony' is now Trevor and Alex is no longer the twink boyfriend, instead he is Trevor's best friend. I have something more intresting up my sleeve for Trevor. To make sense of the rest of the book, you will need to read Marcus's POV again. Please and thanks lovelies.
Cas POV
'We can go to Laurey's' I say as I start walking off. Marcus started walking with me in confident, long strides. He started walking a couple steps ahead of me even though he didn't know where we were going. London is always busy no matter which area, so I had to constantly dodge around people while trying not to fall on my face. They seemed to see right through me, but parted like the goddamn red sea for Marcus. We didn't speak during the five minute walk, walking in a comfortable silence.
Finally reaching the small little cafe on the corner, I walked ahead of Marcus and into Laurey's, holding the door for him on the way in. He muttered a quiet thank you then went over to the counter ahead of me. Cindy was behind the counter, smacking her gum like usual. She's the new girl and is the owners granddaughter. Laurey who owned the cafe had promised her daughter she would hire her this summer even though she was a massive pain the ass. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw Marcus and stood up a bit straighter and tried to fix the birds nest on her head. I rolled my eyes, god she's sixteen for christsake.
'Ill have a coffee, black' Marcus said to her. He looked at me with a smile, 'What would you like Cas?'
'Uhhh... could I have a vanilla latte?' I said to Cindy, she ignored me, to busy staring at Marcus, 'Coming right up' she said batting her fake eyelashes.
'Thanks' he says, 'we should sit while we wait' he says to me.
'Okay' I reply and walk over to the free table by the window.
Marcus lowers his big frame into the chair across from me.
'Thank you for the drink' I say
'No problem' he replies, 'Do you normally walk into people?' he asks amused.
'ahh... more than you'd think, I'm kinda clumsy, my mum used to say I had two left feet.' Just then Cindy comes over with our drinks. Weird, normally we don't do that here, customers come up to the counter to get there drinks. 'Do you see anything else you like?' she asks.
'No thank you' Marcus says dismissively, turning back to me.
Cindy stomps off back to the counter and I can't help but chuckle a bit. 'You seem to have an admirer' I say.
'Haha yeah, but she's got the wrong body parts and also I'm not into minors' he said laughing.
'Your gay?' I blurt, in shock. Oh my god, shut up Cas! But how can such a hot guy be gay? I never have this kind of luck.
'Do you have a problem with that?' his green eyes suddenly a lot colder.
'N-n-noooo!!! Of course not!' I say quickly, that would be pretty hypocritical of me if I was.
'Oh, sorry, I've just had some problems with that before and I wouldn't like a repeat' he says. I don't ask him what problems, the way he said it sounded like there was a story behind it, but I don't know him near well enough to start comparing life stories.
'I'm the one whose sorry, I tend to just say what I'm thinking, there's not really a filter up there' I say tapping my head. He laughs lightly and takes a sip of his drink. I copy him and take a long gulp of mine, not wanting to waste something that was bought for me. It was way hotter than I expected though and it burnt my tongue.
