"some say I love my pain.

yes, I love it so much I'd like to give it to you
 wrapped in a red ribbon
wrapped in a bloody red ribbon
 you can have it
 you can have it all.
 I'll never miss it."

clarification: years later, many therapy sessions later, and a lot of introspectiveness has gone on since this relationship ended. however, i do have ptsd and there will be references or allusions to that in my poetry. it's something that still affects me to this day, and writing about it has been therapeutic. i wrote a few angels that are metaphorical characters into some of the poems. they're all assholes. also i'm really fascinated by the original depictions of angels like isn't that terrifying? anyways...

------

this is a collection of poems (poetic memoirs) all surrounding an abusive relationship i experienced. i'm going to mark trigger warnings where it's necessary, but definitely do not read if that's something that bothers you! there's a lot of fantasy language, talking about angels being dicks, and flower/herb symbolism. (like oh my god, so many instances of flower language).

in all seriousness, these are tough to write but i hope you find something in them.
