The next morning, India walks towards Rico's bedroom, opening the door, and leaning against the door frame. He was getting dressed to go and she was curious as to where.
"Hey." She says getting his attention.
"What." He says dryly, not bothering to look up at her.
"You heading out?"
"Yep."
She twists her lips at his short and dry replies but decided that she deserved that after all that's happened.
India walks further into the room. "Can I ask where?"
"It really ain't your business Tey." He shakes his head. "Look. You ain't about to just pop up and think shit gravy between us. Cause it ain't. Aight?"
She sighs, taking a seat on his bed. India hadn't seen Rico in about a year and some change. Once upon a time you wouldn't catch Rico without her at his side. But things had changed a whole lot between them.
When word got around that India was for the streets, Rico just wasn't feeling it or her anymore. Hearing about her possibly being caught up with one of his opps? He wasn't going for it.
India wasn't exactly innocent. She got around and Rico didn't want to know or cared to hear anything she had to say after that. So he dumped her and cut her off completely. Rico threw her straight to the curb where he'd found her.
"Ric I said I was sorry."
"Yeah and I said that I ain't wanna see you again but here you are." Rico says. "Ion even know why I allowed you to lay at my crib."
"Because you love me. I know you still do Rico because I still love you."
He sucks his teeth and disappeared into his closet.
India gets up from the bed and walks over to him. She runs her hands up his chest and looks into his eyes. "Look me in my eyes and tell me that you don't feel anything for me? After three long years Rico? After last night?"
He sighs and looks down at her. She was still so beautiful to him, with her perfect skin, full lips, and enticing dark brown eyes. Sometimes he did miss her but she was the reason why they weren't together. Not him...
"Look I know what I did was fucked up but I never meant to hurt you. You gotta believe that."
What they had was over...
Once upon a time he definitely did love her but times had changed. The love he had for her wasn't as strong as it once was. She was to blame.
"Look you gotta dip. Ight?" He slips into his shirt. "I got shit to do."
She sucks her teeth as he pushed past her, rolling her eyes at him. "So you kicking me out? What you got a new bitch or some? Who the fuck is she?"
"You gotta go." Rico shook his head.
