Welcome, dear reader!

This story will continue from the movie, not the books. I will be trying to read the actual Guardians of Childhood stories as I write this, though that is not a guarentee.

I will be taking advice, as long as it's constructive and not "diz sotry sukxz!!1!"

Thank you for reading this Author's Note, and always believe!

It was a hot summer,  so unfortunately Jack had to stay at the North Pole, as it was way too hot anywhere else. As he sat in his ice palace, he felt lonely, as it was always this way around this time of year. As he lay around his ice abode, he wondered what it was like to have a friend. He sees Jamie around with his friends all the time, and during the summer when Jack literally cannot visit due to the heat he felt empty.

That's when  he saw the aurora borialis, and he knew he had to go. As he flew through the cold northern air, he wondered what North wanted from him. Of course, being the closest, Jack was the first person at the North Pole.

                        —*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*—

After everyone had arrived in the North Pole, North began to speak.

"Pitch is back" North said in a monotone voice. Everyone was shocked, they all thought that Pitch was dead. North stepped back, revealing Pitch in a weaker state. Everyone was stunned, frozen in place for a second, then getting ready to attack. North expected this, but did nothing. What was pitch doing here? Of course, Jack being the most curious in nature, he asked the question everyone was thinking first.

Pitch replied to the question "I felt truly sorry for my actions." Pitched stopped, trying to figure out what to say. "I realised, before I almost vanished out of existence, that power isn't really all that important."

"Yeah, yeah, and the power of friendship is more important i've heard that already!" Bunny snapped, annoyed and trying to figure out Pitchs' non-existing evil scheme.

Pitch looked at the crew with pleading eyes, begging for forgiveness. While most of the gang  believed him, Bunny wasn't on their side. After all, Pitch would have to do more than give a little apology speech.

"Pitch will be staying here with me." North spoke up. "So I can both keep an eye on him and keep him company. I doubt there are any objections?" North smiled as he handed Pitch a cup of eggnog.

After everyone calmed down, for the most part,  Man in the Moon shined his light down on the dark wooden floor, just like what had happened when Jack was chosen.

"Uhhh, What does this mean?" Jack looked confused. Tooth floated behind him "He's choosing another guardian." Jack looked confused, then figured out who 'he' was. Everyone curous, but most were expecting Pitch to be chosen.

But what they got suprised them more.

"Uhm, who is that?" Jack questioned. Most of the guardians looked confused, except for Tooth and Sandy.

"Nicki!!" Tooth said with excitement, while everyone else was confused. "They sometimes come to visit, since the Tooth Palace is in the middle of the ocean." She explained, and everyone nodded their head in understanding.

"Soooo, What exactly do they do?" Jack asked Tooth.

"Uhmm.. I dont exactly know" She said akwardly. "I think it has something to do with the ocean."

"Great! Bunny, you're the one bringing them here." North said, holding up an empty bag to Bunny while Jack Frost gets flashbacks.

"Maybe that isn't such a great idea." Jack insisted. "Maybe I should go get them."

Everyone looked confused

"Jack. It's summer." North stated. Jack felt stupid after realizing what North said was true.

"And Tooth and Sandy are obviously busy," North muttered just enough so they could hear him "So that leaves Bunny!"

Bunny was appalled. "Here we go again." Bunny sneered as he took the bag from a smirking North.

"Guys, maybe the bag idea isn't so-" Jack was cut off by Bunny jumping into his rabbit hole. Realising he was too late to say anything, he just sighed and laid back on a wooden pillar.

                        —*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*—

It was a warm summer sunset and the waves hit the shore in an unforgettable melody that put a siren's song to shame. The smell of the ocean and the chatter of nearby people made this beach complete. Since you couldn't see the sunset from this side of the beach, everyone was transerring over to the other side of the island except for a few sleepers and children finishing up a sand castle.

On the shore lies Nicki, slightly tan skin with coca hair swaying in the wind, half up and half down with a blue streak in their hair that seemed to stand out, relaxing on the beach away from everyone. Protecting the sea is hard work! Not everyone can do it.

Wham! something rushes into the bushes. At first Nicki thinks it's just a wild animal, but then he hears it again and realises that if it's an animal, its a pretty huge one, maybe kangaroo sized.

Nicki goes to investigate, standing up on their slender legs and walking over. They reach the bush, and then suddenly a bag gets put over his head trapping him inside. Caught by suprise, Nicki was panicking and struggled to get outside of the bag as he heard a portal opening.

                        —*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*—

Everyone gathered around the red bag  curiously while wondering what the new guardian was like, while Tooth looked excited.
Slowly, an apricot-skinned individual slowly crawled out of the bag, looking annoyed. As they crawled out, their expression quickly changed from furious to astonished as they looked around the room, their eyes landing on the guardians in astonishment.

"Woah" was all they managed to mutter out before realization hit.

"Wait. Did I do something bad?" The brunet asked, very concerned for their safety. "I just protect the ocean, I dont know the rules." They tried to defend themselfs, looking around for any sort of support, eyes landing on tooth.

"Don't worry, you're not in any trouble." North chuckled, amused by Nickis' reaction. His eyes turn to North, seeing how he's the only one who is speaking.

"I bet you want to know why you're here, no?" North spoke, piquing Nicki's interest and his eyes widening in curiosity. Jack cringed in the corner knowing exactly what was going to happen next, and silently asked him to do something different.

Unfortunately, his prayers went unanswered.

"Well, I'll tell you why." North circled around Nicki until he was right infront of him, Nicki being as confused as a lost baby bird.

"Because, you are now a Guardian!" North's voice boomed throughout the North pole. All the elves and yetis come out with musical instruments, toy wands, and whatever fancy stuff they could find. Nicki looked around confused and scared, Jack quickly realised this.

"EVERYONE STOP!" Jack yelled, quickly catching everyone's attention and getting a silent 'thanks' from Nicki.

"Can't you guys see they're uncomfortable?" Jack mentioned, the group realising and turning towards a hyperventilating Nicki. He wasn't used to all this attention, and he didnt like it. Suddenly, everything went black.
