Hoseok arrived at exactly 10:00am. My heart fluttered when I saw him. He had the most beautiful smile. As soon as he saw me, he pulled me in close to give me a big hug and whispered sweetly in my ear, "I've really missed you, Sunshine."

"I've missed you, too."

He packed the car and we were off for our get-away. I asked him where we were going, but he wouldn't disclose the location. I tried to figure it out by the route we were taking, but no luck. Finally, he took the exit for the airport. I looked at him with a surprised and confused expression.

"The airport? Are we flying somewhere?"

"Yes, we are. I'm taking you to Maui. I promised you that we would watch the sunrise at Haleakala. I'm keeping my promise," he said while grabbing my hand and kissing the top of it.

"Oh, Hoseok. This is a really nice surprise."

Smiling, he said, "I have some other things planned as well. I really want this to be a special trip for us."

I couldn't speak from being so overcome by all that he was doing to show how much he loved me. There was also that part of me that knew how shattered he would be if he knew the details of my past weekend with Yoongi. I had to pull my thoughts and emotions together and remind myself to give myself the same freedom of no restrictions that I did with my time with Yoongi. Hoseok deserved that as well.

When we arrived on Maui, we immediately went to lunch at a famous local ramen shop. It was one of the restaurants that he and his family ate at when they visited a few weeks ago. It was a nice family- run business and the food was absolutely delicious. He then took me to get dessert at the Guri Guri shop that I told him to visit. It's famous for their strawberry flavored ice cream.

The place Hoseok reserved was a one-bedroom condo unit overlooking the ocean in Kihei. It was absolutely beautiful. Similar to Yoongi, he must have pre-arranged with the rental property to have the refrigerator stocked with specific food and a dozen sunflowers on the dining table. I felt touched and yet slightly unworthy of all his attention and thoughtfulness.

"What would you like to do? Do you want to go down to the beach and go swimming?" he asked.

"Sure, that would be nice."

We changed our clothes and headed down to the beach. Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded and we were able to find a slightly secluded spot. He held my hand and we went straight into the water. It was just the right temperature and the waves weren't too rough. I climbed onto his back so that he could carry me through the water. While there, I gave him a few kisses on his neck which made him tighten his grip on my legs. After a few more kisses, he swung me around so that I faced him while straddling my legs around his waist.

"You keep kissing me like that and we're going to have to leave the beach," he said while wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Alright, I'll behave. For now."

After about 20 minutes of swimming, we decided to take a walk along the beach. The warm sunlight, cool ocean breeze and the comfort from holding his hand made it a beautiful afternoon. On our walk, we got to see a Hawaiian Monk Seal laying on the beach and basking in the sun. It was being safely guarded by volunteers from the Maui Ocean Center. It was a really cute site to see.

Dusk was approaching so we decided to find a nice spot on the beach to watch the sunset. He sat back against a tree stump and I sat between his legs and leaned back on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me. Being held tightly in his embrace has been my comfort zone for many months now. I always felt safe in his arms.

"Sunshine, you know I love you with all my heart, right?

"Yes, I do. I love you, too."

"I've been doing a lot of thinking since this whole situation was revealed and there's one thing that I can't understand. Since we first met, why haven't you and I had any flashback moments? We were married in our past lives, so why are your flashbacks only with Yoongi?" he questioned.
