It's been two days since I told the guys my decision. Neither one of them has tried to contact me since then. I was both relieved, yet a bit sad at the same time. I haven't left the house since then. I was too depressed about knowing that I had to let both of them go. As I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, my phone pinged. It was a text from Malia.
MALIA: Get dressed. I'll be there in 20 minutes.
ME: I don't feel like going anywhere.
MALIA: Not up for discussion. I'm already driving. Get out of bed!
I didn't bother replying back. I knew there was no point in trying to change her mind. However, I still didn't get ready, but chose to stay in bed. That's where she found me when she arrived.
"Why are you still in bed?" Malia said, pulling the covers off of me. "You need to get out of this house and out of this funk." She pulled me up and dragged me to the bathroom. "Wash up. I'm going to pick out something for you to wear. I'm pretty sure you've been in those pajamas for the past two days." I just grunted in compliance.
I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and brushed my hair. When I got back to my room, Malia had picked out my white lace embroidered sundress with the tiny pastel flowers on the hem line. I looked at her confused.
"A dress? Really? I'm going to get a t-shirt and a pair of jeans," I quickly said, and headed to my dresser.
"Oh, no. This is what you are wearing. I'm going to do your hair and make-up too. Haven't you heard the expression that you feel how you look? We need to change how you look so that you can feel better." She helped me get dressed and started on my hair and make-up. When she was done, I was really impressed with her work. She put my hair half up and curled the rest. The make-up was light and natural. She was right. It did make me feel better.
"Thanks Malia. You did amazing work. I do feel a little better," I said, appreciatively.
"You're welcome. Okay, let's go. We are going to have brunch on the beach. I already took care of everything."
"Okay, that sounds nice. Thank you."
On our drive to the location, I was lost in deep thought and wasn't paying attention to where she was driving. When she finally parked, I noticed we were at a very familiar site.
"Wait, why are we here?" I asked.
"No questions. Just trust your best friend, okay?" She looked at me with a loving smile.
Hesitating, I got out of the car and followed her. As we got closer to the beach, I could see familiar people in the distance. There was my mom and sister, Hoseok and Yoongi's parents and Namjoon.
I stopped and looked at Malia, "What's going on?"
She smiled and grabbed my hand. "Namjoon, the guys and I sat down with your families and explained to them everything that has been going on. They were confused at first, but after hearing the confirmations of the flashbacks and seeing the old newspaper articles, photos and announcements, they accepted what we were saying were true. They are here to support all three of you in whatever you decide for your future."
I stood there stunned with my eyes beginning to swell. I had already made my decision. Why would everyone need to be here?
Seeing that I was frozen in place, she pulled me to continue walking. As soon as we got closer, Hoseok came from the side and stood next to me. I looked at him confusingly.
"Hoseok, what's going on? Why is everyone here?" I asked.
He smiled and held my hands. "Well, Sunshine, I'm here to walk you down the aisle and give you away." His eyes were watery and full of love.
