A/N: hey guys, just wanted to say that I am obviously not a perfect writer. I am just doing this cause I was bored.
I am just going to start this off by telling you about my past a little. I don't have a lot to complain about, but this is just what happened.
My mom ended up getting pregnant with my older brother, Jared, when she was 20. My grandfather was very, very catholic and religious. He was livid, he couldn't believe that his youngest of 6 kids had gotten pregnant. My grandpa ended up getting over it, he actually helped get her into a good college and she continued to live with her parents until Jared was about 8. At that point my mom had already met my dad. He was going through a divorce with his psychotic ex. He had a daughter, Ashely, and a son, Alex. Alex was the same age as Jared so they fit perfectly together. My dad ended up losing custody of his kids and they went to live with their mother. After that, Jared took a turn for the worst. One of his best friends had died, and he resorted to drugs. Hardcore drugs. This went on from when I was about 3 until I was 14.
We lived in a small house in the same town my mom grew up in. Everyone in the town could always recognize my name, and ask how my mom and brother were doing. I knew everyone cared more about those two because they knew them better, I did not let that bother me. I would always tell them how much better Jared is doing and how he made amends with my mother.
Now I am 16, crazy to think I am driving now. When I told them I passed they told me they were turning in their licenses (lol that actually happened to me). Like I said, I don't have a lot to complain about. For my 16th my brother gave me an ancestry DNA test. Who would have known that would change my entire life.
It's the day I should be getting my results. I woke up so excited to find out what was in my blood. I checked my phone, no results yet. I went to school that day like normal. I picked up one of my best friends in the entire world, Jordan. He made things interesting for me. He was really the first person that I could really be open with.
He gets in the car and says "Todays the day. You could find out you are actually adopted." he said jokingly. if only it actually was a joke.
Before I pulled out of he drive way I checked my phone. I was shocked. My entire life had just flipped upside down. I just broke down, I actually wanted to die. I never thought I would even think that thought in a million years. My parents did not know Jared gave me the test.
I showed Jordan the results. His eyes widened. "c'mon we are not going to school today." he said grabbing my hand. He led me into his house, I had never actually been inside. His dad looked like he wanted to question what was going on. He saw my tears and left Jordan to help me.
Looking back on this now it actually seems funny to me. He led me up to his room and handed me his vape. I didn't hit it, I told myself I would never do that. I would drink, and celebrate 420 (lol) but I would never vape. Jordan knew that. He was testing me to see how far I was willing to go.
I heard his sigh of relief as I handed it back to him. He then called school pretending to be my dad. His voice was hilarious, it was the first thing to make me laugh, I will always remember that.
After almost an hour of crying in Jordan's room I called Jared. I was livid. If he gave this to me knowing I was adopted, that would have been it.
Jared answered the phone, he heard me crying. "What's wrong? Who did it? Was it that Jordan kid?" he questioned. He never liked or trusted Jordan.
"I'm adopted" I could barely get the words at.
"shit" he says under his breath, but I caught it. That was all he said before he hung up to do who knows what.
A/N: wow. hard to believe I am actually writing this lol. also dont mind my username i had no idea what to do lol. anyways talk to you next time.
- thanks for reading.
