A few weeks had passed since the incident, Tom had asked you to join him at a ball that he had to go to for business reasons, of course, you agreed.
we walked into the ball, our hands intertwined with each other as his other clutched your waist, never missing a beat as he stared right through your eyes with a small smile on his face, it was one of those moments where the two of you grew intimate as Tom leaned his forehead to yours leaving a peck on your lips, A blush crawled up its way to your face as you tried to hide it by burying your head on his chest as a chuckle escaped his lips, "Learning to believe in what is mine" Suddenly those words had hit you.
You were not one to say you loved someone through your actions but there were lots of times when you felt inferior to love.
There were moments when you'd stare at your reflection in the mirror as a pang hits you in the chest as you questioned yourself, "am I dreaming."
You were often described as someone who was cold yet that wasn't the case, you've never really bonded with someone to break down those walls you grew over the weeks and yet somehow, Tom managed to get you to laugh and smile freely.
"Doll?"
His gentle voice reached your ears, snapping you out of your thoughts as you smiled at him. Perhaps because of his and the other's arrival, you've learned to appreciate yourself a little more, you've learned to not only look at your faulty side.

Tom has been very protective of you lately.You wondered if he really liked you. A grin blossomed on his face as you laughed a bit."You look beautiful in that dress, Doll." Tom pulled you out from the dance floor, dragging you towards the balcony.
"Tom if only you knew how much Rosie and I appreciate you and everything you've done for us." he sighed shaking his head "I'm learning to appreciate my life and meeting you." You wanted to cry at Tom's words but youdidn't want to ruin the makeup Rosie had spent hours on.
