Chapter 3 Is this real?

After I got inside, I sat down on my bed thinking, what was going on? A boy who's way out of my league who never talked to me before shows me romantic feelings. He chose me to come to his dad's party over his girlfriend. Does he like me or is it a cruel joke? I decided to sleep it off like it was nothing. Since we weren't dating, I decided to just ignore his calls and text. I went to Lori's house to hang out with her and Clare.

Lori: How's your boyfriend?

Daerion: He isn't my boyfriend, and we haven't talked today

Clare: And why not?

Daerion: He's been calling and texting me, but I haven't answered anything

Lori: I don't feel like being mean right so why haven't you responded?

Daerion: I feel this is all a joke to him, or a bet with his friends or girlfriend to make me seem like a fool. I also feel like I don't deserve a person as perfect as him. I mean he is the captain of the football team

Clare: Daerion it's the other way around, he doesn't deserve someone like you. You're funny, kind, smart, and you're fabulous in heels.

Lori: Frankly, are you not worried about Emily and if she found out?

Clare: Found out that he and Jackson are friends?

Lori: No, about that Daerion is trying to steal her man!

Daerion: I am not trying to take him at all, seriously.

Clare: If he asks you to be his?

Daerion: He isn't going too

Lori: Mmmh okay whatever you say

After Daerion got home and got into the shower he went straight to sleep because it was a long day. – The next day.

I woke up and started to eat my breakfast not excited to go to school because I had a test in math. As I am locking the door, I feel a warm firm hand touch my shoulders.

Jackson: Well, Good morning too you Daerion

He said in a sarcastic tone.

Daerion: What are you doing here?

Jackson: You never returned my text or calls yesterday

Daerion: I know

Jackson: Let me drive you to school

Daerion: It's fine I'll walk

Jackson: What is going on?

Daerion: Nothing, I'm just going to walk today

Jackson then gets in Infront of Daerion and holds his shoulders. He stares into Daerion eyes with his big, beautiful hazel eyes and spoke.

Jackson: I'm sorry if I hurt you that was never my intention, please let me take you to school we don't have to talk if you don't want to.

Seeing the worried look I got into his car, he didn't touch me, and I wasn't mad because it shows he doesn't just see me for my body.

Daerion: You didn't do anything wrong, Jack, it's just I'm nervous about my math test today. I have a perfect 100 right now and that will bring it down.

Jackson: Just breathe, you will do fine

Soon as we got to school, I started to go to math then I felt a hand touch my hand, what type of person would I be if I let you go in alone when you're this nervous. I blushed a little after that. I don't know if it was just because I understood the materials on the test or was it because of the encouragement Jackson gave me but I passed my test. After class Jackson came to me and asked.

Jackson: How did you do?

Daerion: I passed with an A

He then gave me a big hug telling me how proud he was of me.

Jackson: After school, we're going to go celebrate

Daerion: We don't have to do that

Jackson: Nonsense you deserve it

Daerion: No really it wasn't even a big test

Jackson: No, we are-

Daerion: I said I don't want you to buy anything for me

This was the first time Daerion had ever yelled at Jackson he didn't know what to do.

Daerion: I'm so sorry

Daerion then walked away from Jackson maybe ruining his chancing with him, but the difference is Emily is dating Jackson because he is the football captain, and he is rich I didn't want the money because I like him for what was on the inside of him but now, he isn't going to get the chance to show that since he went off on Jackson.

He went the whole day not seeing or talking to Jackson at all.

Emily: Gay heroin why do you look so down, did a straight boy, not like you?

Daerion: No, leave me alone.

Emily: Never.

Daerion: You know something, I never did anything to you, and you treat me like this. I'm going, to be honest with you since no would because you are the captain of the cheer team, but I'm not scared like them. You're a self-centered, disgusting, homophobic person who never deserved Jackson at all. I don't see why he would ever be with you, he is caring, sweet, handsome, and an amazing person and you're a witch.

Emily was shocked that someone finally stood up to her but that didn't stop her.

Emily: I only bullied you because I don't like you at all, you're jealous of my lifestyle and my looks. I can pull any boy I want with a flick of my finger. I am dating the best player on the team, and you wish he would even look your way.

She then walks off; little did she knows that Daerion had feelings for Jackson. Emily wasn't just self-center she was a homophobic person who didn't deserve Jackson.

Clare: Daerion are you ready for sectional today?

Daerion: No, I'm not feeling it?

Clare: What's wrong?

Instead of Daerion telling her what happened, he asked to cry on her shoulder. After asking for consent she accepted it.

Mahogany: What's going on?

Clare: Daerion came to me saying that for the past 3 years he has been bullied by Emily.

Mahogany: That skinny bit-

Then Golden told them to get in their places to practice their stand tunes.

Mahogany: I must go since I'm not supposed to be here but I'm here for you.

Mahogany then got on the bus to go home.

Daerion wiped his tears and got his saxophone ready.

Mr. Young: Alright woodwinds, you can now start practicing stand tunes, altos, I want you to practice that one part in art in "Tear the Roof Off" and "Funky Town".

After practice was over, he realized he had 5 missed calls from Jackson, he didn't feel like talking right now so he ignored them and got into the car.

He was in so much pain and not just from Emily, from past things that he didn't eat at all he just went to sleep.

While sleeping in the middle of the night he hears a tap on his window. He was scared so he got a bat. He opened it and open hit Jackson.

Daerion: Oh my gosh you scared me, what are you doing here?

Jackson: I'm sorry to scare you and wake you but I couldn't let you go

Daerion: What are you talking about

Jackson: I don't know how to say it, but I can show it

Daerion: What are you talking about, it's 2 a.m.

Jackson then leans in slow and kissed Daerion on the lips.
