Where was this? I felt a sharp streak of pang across my forehead as the white lights stung my eyes. I tried moving, but I couldn't. I was bound to a chair, my hands tied behind me to a chair. I tried recalling all that had happened. I couldn't process anything, I had remembered speaking with Kabir, then our cab went wild. It was an ambush, they allowed us depart from the defence security systems of the Milky Way. They'd be foolish to foray into the Milky Way unless they seek their doom. I still wondered who could have done that. But this wasn't how the Ravagers do their space kidnaps, neither the JaQs.
The lights went off. Everything became pitch black. Strong red lights started blinking in irregular patterns causing me pain to understand and adapt with the pattern. No more or no less to think of, I knew where we were. Zabick. These zanies had Kabir chained, hands and legs spread apart. They recognized green. Military. Greens were the stronger ones, they foolishly thought. I'm about to show them what a non green could do.
After what felt like forever, the lights came on. Normal fluorescent lights came on. An entry camouflaged with the wall disappeared, opposite from where I was. A man, his figure was vaguely discernable until he came close to be bald, on suit and tie, he wore a knicker. He looked like a circus clown, I felt the urge to laugh, but I didn't. He placed a chair in front of me, he didn't sit down instantly. He exchanged glances between me and Kabir. Kabir had his face downcast. We were on the same page, these people will suffer for this at the slightest chance.
"Mr Kabir and Mr Hamd." The crooked nose spoke. First thing, he got my name wrong.
"It's Hameed, nitwit." I snapped at him.
" Alright. You trespassers have breached Zabick's region with an unlicensed cab." He announced. He had a bit of goofiness to his voice, I presume he's not the boss around here. Maybe the lab rat, who can tell?
"Hmmm!" He took a long sigh as he got no reply from either of us. We all knew that wasn't Zabick's territory we were in before we got hit. Lies.
"How do we get out from this place?" Kabir yelled as Mr No Nose staggered in his chair and fell. I cackled.
" I'm afraid, you can't leave this place until you have fulfilled your decrees." He said.
" What decrees?" I enquired.
The man squeezed his face into what may have looked like a smirk. I didn't like that expression on his face, something in me just wanted to shove my hand through his plexus. Then he said:
"The Decree of Charity.""What?"
"Charity?"
