Genesis sits in her designated bedroom with her knees balled to her chest. As she sits on the bed, she stares out of the window. From the second floor of the mansion, she watches as the sun reaches its peak in the sky.
She hasn't been out of the room since the day before. Taehyung's words have been playing on a loop in her head. Even though she's fearful of him, she still feels the pull. It's almost painful to ignore.
Hearing him say that he wanted nothing to do with her had more of an impact that she thought it would.
With those words in mind, she feels as if there's no reason for her even be in the house. But Yoongi explained to her, in so many words, why she must stay.
Taehyung may strongly dislike her, but she's still an essential part of the Coven whether he chooses to acknowledge that fact or not.
So she stays.
Yoongi didn't explain exactly why she was important, he just instilled it in into her head that she was. He said that they needed her and she kept her curiosity at bay for the time being.
Her mind has been made up that this is where she has to be for now. All human mated vampires are required to make contact with their Coven so that they can be bonded in. One missing member could be detrimental to the power structure once they're Marked.
It's not like she can run from them. They're faster. She couldn't fight them off. They're stronger. And she couldn't get away with her life still intact. They hunt for a living.
She just has to make do with what she's got. Even if it isn't much of anything.
Light knocking on Genesis's door pulls her from her thoughts.
"Yes?" She speaks softly, not having the energy to be any louder.
Not that she really needed to. He heard her just fine.
"Can I come in?"
"I guess."
Yoongi opens the door and stands in the doorway. "Good evening."
"Good evening."
"We're going to be picking your things up from your home today. It'd be best to get everything moved into the house as soon as possible. The quicker the move, the quicker the assimilation."
Genesis takes a deep breath as she gets off the bed. She stands up and sighs.
"Right." She tells him as she puts her feet into her slides.
