     I woke up the next day at around 6 a.m. Throwing off my blanket I went to a bowl that I put water in and washed my face, brushed my teeth, and spit the water out the window. That's how I had to do it since there is no water going through the pipeline and no electricity since this place is abandoned. I would usually take a bath in a lake or river somewhere. I pulled on a white t-shirt and switched my sweats for a pair of ripped jeans. Slipping on my old black converse I jumped out the window.

     Alright time for me to find some food. I walk down the street to where all the shops are, it's Sunday and there are already people out shopping. I go to the produce store and as I'm walking by I grab a banana and casually walk away. Or I thought it was pretty casual until I heard

     "Stop him he's the bastard who's been stealing and digging through my trash cans!"

     I turned quickly to see the guy from yesterday with a woman to his left and two other guys to his right. They all looked pretty pissed so I put the banana in my mouth and shifted into a cheetah. Dammit! Those were my good clothes! I thought. I ran to the forest. I could hear their paws hitting the floor hard as they tried to catch up. The average cheetah could only run at its fastest for a few minutes and I was starting to get tired so I climbed up the nearest tree and shifted back to a human. I sat down and started to eat my banana.

     I looked down and saw the three guys back in human form climbing the tree I was on. "Come on guys I'm just trying to eat a little! I'm sure we can talk about this." I said. They just glared at me and kept climbing. Rolling my eyes I shifted into a white leopard and scratched at the tree branches they tried to grab onto. I didn't want to hurt them but I didn't want them up here either. My paw swatted another hand and the youngest fell from the tree. I had the upper hand while they climbed until one by one they gave up climbing the tree. I purred up in my tree and stared as they argued. "The piece of shit better stay in that tree."

     When they left and I got back on the floor I shifted into a dog because I shredded my clothes earlier and I wanted to be something normal. I walked back into town and went looking for food again. I'm safe though because their are lots of stray dogs here. There was a party going on at a park and I went there because they had really good smelling food. I sat by a table where two teens were eating and gave them puppy dog eyes. Whimpering a little I got the attention of a blond girl with blue eyes. Her hair was short and she was pretty. "Awww Ryder look at the doggie! He's so cute! Does the doggie want some food? Is the doggie hungry?" She said to the guy sitting next to her then to me. I barked, stuck my tongue out, and wagged my tail. I hated doing this but I was hungry. She was about to give me a hamburger but the guy stopped her. "Jasmine you shouldn't give animals food. He will start following you." He told her. She sighed but nodded her head. I glared at Ryder but as I glared I couldn't help but notice how good looking he was.

     He had spiked up black hair that looked soft and fluffy. His eyes were an icy blue and his lips were perfect. He looked like he was 6 foot 4 which beat my 5 foot 9. He looked pretty strong too and since he was wearing a tight black shirt I could see the outline of his abs. "Ryder the dog is staring at you." Jasmine pointed out. I quickly snapped out of it and crawled over on my stomach to nudge her leg with my muzzle. She pet my head and gave Ryder pleading eyes and so did I. He looked in between her and me." Jasmine it's not gonna work just stop." She kept going and I started whimpering and crawling toward him. He sighed and said " Fine! Fine just stop it already you can give him food!" Jasmine jumped on him and gave him a hug. I walked up to him and gave him a lick on his hand but when I did I felt sparks shoot through my body. My eyes widened and I backed away from him. He was staring at me in shock and confusion while Jasmine didn't notice and was giving me a hamburger. I took it in my mouth and ran away. Ryder yelled "wait come back!" But i kept going. He was chasing me but I went to my hiding spot in an alley and he ran right past me.

     I ate my meal in peace and it tasted so good! It was the first thing I ate in two days if you don't count the banana I stole earlier. Ok so that dude was my mate. That is good and bad. Its good cause now I know it's him. Its bad cause he is the alphas son and the alpha hates me. Oh shit what am I gonna do? He's looking for me now. What if he doesn't like me like his dad! He probably thinks my wolf is a dog because that has happened before. But will he be mad that I can shift into any animal? I walked around for a couple of hours before heading back to the old house. I jump up on some boxes I stacked there and hopped in the second story window again. I walked over to my blanket on the floor and curled up on it in dog form not bothering to change back and have to deal with clothes. I had school tomorrow and Ryder is in some of my classes. He never noticed me cause I'm the invisible loner that nobody cares about. I went to sleep with my head spinning with the ideas on how tomorrow might go.
