Jimin's POV

The room was darker than I expected. People in our gang would go crazy, they'd celebrate if something similar happened to them but why was I not amused or even interested when the leader of black panther summoned me?

"Do you know why I summoned you?  Park Jimin , the head of Southern Region."

"I don't know, leader."

The room slowly lit up by the maids but for some reason they looked more like assassins. I looked around the room in a quick glance, the four walls were covered with some paintings and paper scrolls hanging around with some doodles on it, while the other wall had some daggers , guns stolen from foreigners near border area and a big painting of a beautiful woman. There was no sign of modern items around, except the cup set resting on the shelf.

"That's my wife."

"Huh?" I slightly tilted my head.

"You were frowning when you were scanning the room." The old man gestured me to take a seat. "Don't worry, I didn't share the information for fun. Your job is something related to it."

I have no time to find his wife. I can't figure out where is mine and he is dragging me here to find his woman? So annoying.

"Sir?"

"You are the most talented and trust worthy soldier in my organization. I only can trust you, young man to do this job." He paused to pull out a scroll from the shelf and handed it to me. "You are temporarily shifted here at the headquarter, to protect my daughter as her body guard."

"WHAT???" I cried out loud. I cleared my throat after a second, maintaining my composure.

"S-Sir? I'm sorry but I don't think I can. . . my crew my men. . .I can't leave them alone. It's risky for the head of a branch to stay away from HQ , especially when we're the closest to the palace. It's us who keeps an eye on Southern border and the Royal palace. Sir I-"

"Park Jimin. A soldier should never say no to his duty. I wasn't requesting you. It's my order." I gulped and gripped on my scabbard tightly, as the leader spoke, his eyes cold so was his voice. If he wasn't some old man and I wasn't an experienced soldier, I'd have peed in fear. I lowered my gaze.

"Yes sir."

"Mrs. Eum will take you to my daughter. I hope you'll fulfill your duty whole heartedly, young man. My daughter is most dear to me." The old leader mumbled making me nod and look at the old lady standing out of the room.

"Follow me."

I tried to calm down, I couldn't say no to my superior. I bowed at him and decided to follow the lady. I should contact Yeonjun and let him know about my situation and ask him to somehow contact Han Kyung so that I can ask her what were her reasons to leave me without even a goodbye.

"Please wait here."

I was lost in my own thoughts when the woman's words snapped me out to reality. I stopped walking and waited just as she asked. She walked into the chamber while I started at the garden down the balcony.

Han Kyung. What did you do to me? I never went this far for any woman, I can't stop thinking about you. Did you really put me in some spell. I want to meet you so bad. Why do I have to work as a bodyguard now? I just want to protect you, hide you away from darkness, I wish I could say no to the leader but If I do, the leader would give not only me but my men, hard time. I can't risk their security. I'm sorry. . . please wait for me. Please.
