chapter 27

" Im gonna miss you " My brother says as he kisses my forehead on the way out

" Yeah right , try being more kind to me next time you see me " i say as I move closer to Jacobs car " IF there is next time " I say empathizing the "if" part

" I said I'm sorry " he does a fake pounding face

I raise my middle finger on the air as I turn around.

" Love you too!!" Is all I hear before the front door shuts

Getting inside the car , I immediately put my seatbelt on .

" Got all your stuff ?" Jacob asks me from the drivers seat

I nod looking ahead as the car starts moving.

I can't even look him in the eyes after what I did last night .

" You're sure , because I can't go back-"

" I said yes " I cut him off

" Whatever " I can feel him shake his head

" whatever " I mock his words muted , only moving my mouth

He turns his head to me and I immediately stop , looking focused on the road so he won't know that I made fun of him .

" A child " he states and I don't respond.

I may be a child but at least am not an asshole .

After some hour of boredom I remember I forgot to do something. To answer Aaron's text, which do be honest was the thing that started the fight yesterday.

I grab my phone from my pocket , turning my body a little bit so my back is more on the door rather than the seat because I don't want Jacob to be looking.

I find Aaron's contact and go the the messages.

A- Where are you ?
Sent yesterday.

O- Hi, sorry I had it on silent . I'm fine . In fact I'm on my way to the facilities right now. How are you ?

I close the phone and put it right between my tights , as I cross my hands on my chest .

After a couple of minutes I hear a loud ding and I immediately take my phone on my hands .

O- It's ok . I'm at practice. You think we can meet later ? I missed you

I smile to myself. He is sweet to me and I have to admit I miss it . I'm do tired of the behavior I received these couple of days . I understand why my brother reacted they way he did . The one thing I can't put my mind on is Jacob and why he did what he did . At least Aaron is good to me and right now I would really appreciate a person that at least supports me .

O- Ok ! Come to my dorm ?

A- sounds perfect

I close my phone and put it back on the previous place I had it .

As I move my eyes from my thighs I see Jacob looking at me . Weirdly.

" What ?" I spit out

" Why are you smiling like an idiot " he says with a more of a disgusted look

Idiot? He had one nerve calling me that after what he did.

" None of your business " i say shrugging

" Fine " he shakes his head, rolling his eyes as he looks back on the road

Can't I just have five minutes of silence without him being, well , him ?
