"I'm so nervous." Harry quivered to Gemma.

"Look, Harry, I'm here to support you one hundred percent but getting nervous is just silly. You know what the boys would say..." Gemma hardly had time to finish her sentence before Harry butted in.

"Get a grip. Grow a pair... I know Gem. It's just... I feel like I'm leaving you, what with Mum not being here anymore."

"Who said you're leaving?" Gem chuckled. "Just because Mum left both of us the house, doesn't mean you can just get up and go like that. We still have some of the mortgage left..."

"I'm not leaving Gem. Anyway this isn't the time to be arguing." Harry hated lying to his sister.

"You're right! Now where's your tie?"

Harry rustled through his drawers trying to find the one special tie. The tweed one with brown pin striping on it. He began to panic as it wasn't in any of them but turned around to see Gemma holding it, laughing at the distressed look on his face.

"Looking for something?"She giggled. Harry glared at her.

"Not funny" He tried to hold a serious face but failed and couldn't help but to laugh along with Gemma.

"Mum would be really proud you know."

This was the part Harry was dreading. He tried to hide his emotions but anytime Gem resurrected the proud Mum speech he couldn't hold it back. She could see it too, the way his head dropped and fell into his hands instantly indicated how raw it all was for him.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up." Gem felt instant remorse.

"It's alright." Harry said as he wiped his teary eyes "I'll learn to handle it one day."

Gem took Harry's hand.

"We don’t have time to be a blubbering mess now do we? Places to go, people to see."

"You're right. But I think the dress code does call for shoes Gem." He looked at her bare feet nestling into the shag pile rug.

"Fucks sake Harry. You're always disapproving of my footwear!" Gem laughed.

"Guilty!" Harry laughed too.

They both continued to laugh as Gem fiddled with the strap on her heels. By the time she had managed to get them on, Harry was already in the bathroom making sure he looked his best. Gem walked to the door.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Well it's now or never." Harry replied.

"Good. We can't leave the alter empty."

They quickly inspected each other, making sure they were both looking good and before long Harry and Gemma had made their way down the stairs, out of the front door and into Harry's Range Rover Sport. They had begun the journey to St. Johns Church in Holmes Chapel.
