You watch Luke take his suitcase out of the trunk and shut it.
"I don't want you to go." You pout.
"I know, but I have to." He says, pulling you in for a hug and kissing your head.
You breathed in his scent and sighed. He pulled away as the other boys started going on to the bus. "I have to go."
"I love you." You say and kiss his lips.
He kisses back and then says goodbye to Leo. You watch with a smile on your face. He kisses you one last time before putting his suitcase under the bus and walking to the door. He waves to the two of you one last time. You wave back and then watch him climb on the bus. The bus driver shuts the luggage compartment under the bus and follow him onto the bus before shutting the door. You wave until the bus pulls away.
You watch it drive down the street as you wipe a few tears away. Yes it was only going to be 4 months but you couldn't help but get emotional.
You get Leo back into his car seat and buckle him up before getting in and buckling yourself. You start to drive home and put the radio on. You hum along as you drive and pull into your driveway soon. You get out and get Leo out just as Brittany pulls up.
You wait for her to get out of her car and smile when she does. "Hey."
"What's up bitch?" She says, grabbing her bags and walking up to you.
"Language." You say. "What if Leo's first word is bitch?"
"Then he will have learned it from you because you said it after I did." She laughs. "Besides, if his word will probably be daddy."
"You don't know that." You say.
"Girl, I've spent the night at your house a few times. You're very loud in the bedroom." She gags.
"Shut up." You laugh and jokingly push her shoulder.
You walk up to the front door and unlock it. You walk in and put Leo in his bouncer. "The guest room is all set up for you, make yourself at home."
"Thank you." She says and walks to the guest room.
You walk to the kitchen and get the baby some food and a snack for yourself before walking to the living room. You sit in the couch and feed the baby a spoonful of his baby food before taking a bite of your snack.
"Hey, is it okay if Sabrina spends some nights? I'm gonna miss her." She asks.
"Of course, you don't have to ask." You say, giving the baby another spoonful of his food.
"Thank you. The guest room is so nice, I don't know if I ever wanna leave." She jokes.
"Stay as long as you'd like." You smile. "There's plenty of food in the kitchen if you're hungry."
"Thanks but I'm okay right now." She smiles. "By the way, I still don't cook so I can't help out with that."
"That's alright. I can cook or we can order take out." You pause. "I prefer the take out option."
She laughs. "Me too. I'm a whore for take out night."
You smile. "You're a whore for everything."
"I'm a whore for you." She winks.
"Oh shush." You laugh. "I regret asking you to stay with me."
"I regret saying yes." She shrugs.
"No you don't." You say, feeding Leo the last of his food. "Otherwise you don't get to see this angel."
"You're right, I'm only doing it for him." She says, picking him up.
You smile and finish your snack. "I think he needs his diaper changed."
"Yeah, I don't do that." She says, holding him out to you.
You laugh and take him back. "It's okay. I'll change all the diapers."
"Who's going to watch him while your at work?" She asks.
You think. "Good question. Luke's usually home while I work and I'm usually home when he works."
"Hire a babysitter." She suggests.
"Maybe. What if I can't find someone I trust?" You ask.
"I think I know someone looking for a job." She says.
"You?" You ask.
"No, Rachel. She's been looking for a new job. Hire her as a nanny. She loves children." She says.
"That's actually a really good idea. Do you think she'd do it?" You ask.
"Yeah, I bet she'd love to." She smiles.
"How much should I pay her?" You ask.
"I don't know." She says. "Ask her and come up with a price together."
You nod and check your phone as it rings. "I'll be back." You say, handing her Leo.
"What about his diaper?" She asks.
"Oh it doesn't actually smell, I just wanted to see your reaction." You laugh as you walk out of the back door and answer the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey baby blue." Luke says.
"Hey." You smile. "What's up? You left like an hour ago, is everything okay?"
"Yeah, I just miss you and Leo a lot." He says.
"Aww baby, we miss you too. Tour will be over before you know it." You tell him.
"True." He sighs.
"Plus, once you play your first show, you'll have so much fun and time will fly faster." You reassure him.
"When are you and Leo going to come to a show?" He asks.
"Soon." You tell him.
You were actually planning on going to a show to surprise him. You and Brittany were going to fly somewhere he wouldn't expect you to show up. You were hoping sooner than later. So far you guys were aiming for a show in Canada. He would never expect that.
"You better come to the show in our city." He says.
"I will, I promise." You smile.
"Good. I love you baby blue."
You smile wider. "I love you more."
"Whatever you say." You chuckles.
"I'm always right." You chuckle.
"I'd argue you on that but.. happy wife, happy life." He says.
You roll your eyes. "The truth is you can't argue me on that because I'm always right and you know it."
"Yeah yeah." He laughs. "I'll call you later."
"Okay. I love you again." You smile.
"I love you baby blue." He says and hangs up.
You smile and walk back into the house. You take Leo from Brittany and scrunch your nose up. "Okay now he needs his diaper changed."
Brittany laughs. "I know. I saved it just for you."
"Gee, thanks." You joke.
You change his diaper and then start talking and planning about when to surprise Luke. You couldn't wait any longer, even though he just left you really wanted to see him again. Long distance sucks.
