It Takes A Spark (Story 1)

Chapter 4

River smiled as he jumped, his feet igniting intensely before the flames thinned like a torch. He used his feet to fly towards Mako, flying into him at a high speed. Mako put his arms up, making himself able to keep the boy in place. Meanwhile, Spark went after Bella as she stood there. She lifted two fingers up as the ground below the blond began to crumble and break, using the rocks to launch him into the air.

"Ack-!" Spark exclaimed as he was launched into the air. He used the rocks as platforms.

"Fall!" the girl shouted as the rocks suddenly came raining down, causing Spark to fall with them. Spark grunted as he spun in the air, attempting to aim his landing spot into a tree. He landed onto the ground and dusted himself off before looking down at his feet. He noticed that he stepped on a sphere made out of some sort of plant material. The sphere opened up as gas seemed to rise into Spark's face, causing him to cough and falling to his knees. He looked up to see a dark skin figure with blue jeans and a black turtleneck. Her hair was turquoise blue with pink tips.

"W-what...What did you do to me!?" Spark shouted, clenching his fist as the girl lifted her hand, causing plants to wrap around his arms and legs.

"J-just...listen, I don't want to fight you because all of this is stupid...I just put a sleeping gas in the plants but you'll fall asleep soo-" she was cut off by a rock flying past her, hitting Spark in the chest and causing him to grunt in pain. Bella walked up behind the girl and smiled.

"Good Echo, you made it easier to kill him," she said as she walked up to Spark. When she was close enough, she suddenly received a headbutt from him,causing her to stumble a bit.

"You bitch!" she shouted as she started punching him repeatedly. Echo watched as she looked towards something in the distance, noticing rustling in the bushes.

"U-uh...Bella?" Echo said, tapping her shoulder to get her partner's attention. Bella stopped punching Spark, leaving him with a bloody nose.

"What?" she snapped before noticing the rustling. Things went silent before suddenly, a black wolf jumped from the bushes, lunging towards the duo. They both jumped back in surprise as Bella lifted rocks from the ground, throwing them at the wolf. The animal moved swiftly out of the way, dashing towards the girl and biting her in the neck.

Echo widened her eyes as the animal attacked her partner, losing focus on the plants holding Spark captive. She sent plants to attack the animal, only to miss as the animal let go of Bella and ran over to Spark. Bella held her neck, trying to stop the bleeding as she stood up. She growled a bit before hearing an explosion at the site where River and Mako were fighting.

"W-we need to help them out!" Echo exclaimed as Bella looked at her and shook her head, rushing over to their teammate. Echo looked over at Spark and the wolf. The animal noticed her and growled as it defended the passed out blond. Echo hesitantly and slowly walked over to them, touching the ground to grow a glowing flower next to Spark. The flower caused him to slowly heal. The wolf kept its guard up as it kept an eye on her.

"I-I'm sorry..." Echo said quietly before following the same path as Bella. The wolf calmed down and looked over at Spark, licking his face to try to wake him up. After a few seconds, Spark was healed and slowly opened his eyes.

"Ugh...I'm glad that's ove-'' he was cut off as he noticed the wolf, jumping up in surprise before realizing. "Come on Sapphire, You know how I feel about the wolf form..." he said, smiling a bit as the wolf walked in front of him. It started glowing before turning into a girl that was up to Spark's chest. She had medium long curly hair and tan skin. Her outfit consisted of a sleeveless shirt and some ripped jeans. She had eyeliner over brown eyes. She smiled a bit as she looked up at him.
