What does it feel like to experience death?

As my consciousness drifts into oblivion, the pitch-black surroundings made me feel cold as I wandered around aimlessly. 

Surprisingly, after what felt like forever, I wasn't tired at all. In this vast emptiness where only I reside, I somehow felt a sense of loss. Like I forgot about something important.

This feeling of emptiness made my heart ache, making me stop in my tracks while clutching my chest. 

Who even am I?

That single question sparked something within me as more and more things that I couldn't answer appeared in my mind.

The never-ending barrage of questions just seemed to appear out of thin air which made me unable to think properly.

This went on for the longest time before I suddenly hear a voice seemingly call out to me.

Alban! Snap out of it!

Alban? What is that and why does it sound so familiar?

The voice in my head kept repeating the same words over and over again, making me snap out of my trance.

This voice... 

"Sonny?"

As I opened my eyes, the bright light from the ceiling makes me wince as I could vaguely make out a silhouette. 

Without knowing, a tear fell down the side of my cheeks, making the man in front of me suddenly hug me.

"Alban, it's okay now." He says, his voice the most soothing I've ever heard. 

"I'm here. It was just a dream." Patting my back, he whispers consoling words. 

Hearing him suddenly made my body weak, as everything that just happened came crashing like a tsunami in my head. 

Was it really a dream?

"Sonny..." I mumble, hugging him tightly at the same time.

My emotions poured out uncontrollably as I could feel tears well up in my eyes before falling down. The thought of what I just experienced scares me. 

It felt too real just to be a dream

"I'm so sorry, so please don't leave me alone..." I say, choking on my own words. 

Sonny hugs me tighter than before, my head now buried in his shoulder as I wept. "I will never leave you alone, so please stop crying..." 

This continues for a while with Sonny consoling me as I cried like a baby, his hand patting my head as he does so.

After a while, my eyes are swollen as I hiccuped. Sonny's shoulder now wet from my tears and... Snot.

"Look at you, your eyes are so puffy now." Sonny smiles as he wipes my remaining tears away. He closes in on me, kissing my forehead before trailing down my cheek. 

His simple words and actions eventually calm my uneasy heart, making my body limp as I leaned on him.

"Have you calmed down now?" Sonny asks, hugging me from the side before nuzzling his head on my shoulders. 

"Mmm." I nudge my head slightly, letting Sonny lean to me.

"And uhm... Sorry for getting your clothes wet..." I mumble under my breath.

Sonny giggles, hugging me tighter than before. "Are you seriously worried about that? You know you're all that matters to me." He says before kissing the back of my neck the next second.

"But still."

"Then... How about a kiss?"

Listening to him, a flush crept up my face before I wiggle in protest.

"N-no."

"Ehhh, and here I thought you were sorry." Sonny says, the tone of his voice in a sulking manner. As he said so, I could feel his grip on my waist tightening.

I bite my lip before giving up, knowing I won't win a wrestle against Sonny.

"Hm? Are you biting your lip?" Sonny notices, making me face him before lifting up my chin.

I guiltily stare elsewhere, before unconsciously biting my lip again.

"..."

Oh.

"I-I didn't mean to bi-"

Unable to properly finish my sentence, I was cut off as Sonny's lips met mine, before flinching and tasting a slight metallic taste in my mouth.

Sonny disengages from the kiss, licking his lips which had a hint of red hue.

After catching my breathe, I was about to grumble but immediately dropped the thought as Sonny's eye had a dangerous glint to it.

"Bite your lip again. I dare you."

Not having the courage to accept his dare,  gulping was the only thing I could do.

After a while, Sonny suddenly lets out a wide smile, before cupping my cheeks as he kissed it.

"Hehe, that's what I thought." He giggles, before leaving me a kiss on the forehead.

"I'll go get you something to eat, alright?"

Still slightly shaken from what he just did, I could only nod as I hid myself under the blankets.

"Good boy." Sonny smiles before walking his way towards the door.

Suddenly thinking about the time, I quickly call out to Sonny before he could leave.

"Hey Sonny?"

"What is it?"

"Have you eaten already?"

Sonny stops, apparently in thought before his eyes turned to a crescent. Forming a rather suspicious smile.

"I haven't, but I can eat my fill later." He says, licking his lips.

Understanding what he just meant, my face probably looks like a tomato right now as I could feel heat rush up my face.

"You!"

Seeing my reaction, Sonny just laughs it off, probably amused by how red I am and just walks away.
