Has anyone ever asked you what's a nightmare?
Has anyone ever received an answer?
You don't know do you?
You don't know what a nightmare truly is...
-
A Nightmare is known as sweet dreams;
Filled to the brim with loud screams.
When a killer has an amazing sweet sleep,
Another child awakens and begins to weep.
-
They say it's alright.
It was just a dream.
But why did you awake bawling?
There is no cure for this nonsense.
-
A scary dream is that of a twisted mind.
The abnormal type that's not very kind.
Not as kind as a normal being.
Makes you want to go off fleeing.
-
Hairs on the back of your neck, like soldiers.
You know your being watched.
You claim you're not being abnormal.
No one believes you at all.
-
Parents start to be wary.
Their child is quite scary.
They start to ignore,
Everything you endure.
-
Everything you go through,
For what?
They want to send you away;
To one of those asylum things.
-
They can't send you away.
She will follow anyway.
All she wants to do is play,
At anytime of day.
-
They end up locking you away.
No one to talk to at all.
She followed you and never left;
It made you want to die.
-
She has stitches crawling up her face.
She never leaves a single trace.
She's that voice that never leaves your head.
At night your walls drip with red.
-
The doctors don't know what's wrong.
They tie you up to a chair.
They want to know what you're thinking.
You'll never spill your secrets.
-
She whispers in your ear at night.
Giving your dreams a shiver of fright.
Your teeth chatter from the cold.
Your screams are ever so bold.
-
The doctors run into your room.
They strap you to your hard bed.
They send in a specialist,
To try to fix your crazy mind.
-
Your screams shatter their ears.
The screams; so loud they make tears.
You beg the darkness to sing.
The songs surround you and cling.
-
They find you out of your straps.
Twitching uncontrollably in the corner.
You're blabbering about your 'friend'.
They want you gone, they want you dead.
-
Her cackle is dripping with horror.
It drills into your head like a borer.
You start to accept your little friend,
Although you know this will never end.
-
You were sent to one of the best,
You had doctors watching you.
You were never alone.
Even when everyone was gone, she was still there.
-
You hated the murderer that killed your brother.
More than likely hunting your father and mother.
Your sister was killed not long ago.
For her head received a difficult blow.
-
When you received the news of your parents death.
You felt so alone.
Your little friend ran out of hiding.
And came comfort you for once.
-
You could still hear the concern,
Your ears just beginning to learn.
Your brain was screaming to run and forever leave,
As your thoughts of what is going to happen started to weave.
-
Her thoughts consume your dreams.
The doctors don't know what's wrong.
Your spasms have gotten worse.
You couldn't talk without twitching.
-
Nervous breakdowns appear everywhere,
The doctors making your life a questionnaire.
You gnaw at the flesh on your hands.
Your hair now pulled to strands.
-
Your life now is filled with drugs.
Always sedated with morphine.
To keep you calm they say.
It never works, she won't let it.
-
You will never be normal.
Your life ever informal.
She's always there; she will always be watching.
She views your hopes and dreams, she is now scotching.
-
You have died in your restless sleep.
They don't know what happened.
What do they engrave on your grave?
Will they ever know what happened in your head?
-
She's your nightfall terror.
She's your oddly dream.
She's your white wall error.
She's your Godly scream.
