," There is no particular dress code, our school give lots of freedom to the student. I mean some don't even care if you bring a book or not to their class, it's all on you, " Nora explain as I listen, I come from a strict private school to this type , what an adventure it will be , hope I will be well adjusted.
, " Now, hurry we gotta go now. " looking at the clock she hurry Ellina.
, " But, it's only 7 o'clock, " confused she reply, " You need to settle in, your schedule and all that, " clearly a little bit annoyed with Ellina, after that she sprung out of Ellina's room to get dress.
With a sigh Ellina get up to shower, she doesn't feel like going to school today but time is precious, adding to the fact that she need to catch up immediately. We found out that the school don't really do such transfer mid term, but due to my parent's insistence and after seeing my grade they compromise.
All my grade from first term are handled, but the second term not so much. I will have to take the test myself this time, lucky me that there is only 4 tests.
I wear a pale pink strapped button up dress that's just above my knee, with a half sleeved white blouse underneath it and wear a white shoe . Bags and book and I'm ready to go, looking in the length mirror, I sigh in satisfaction. Pink is really kot my color, but i do love the look.
I went down to the sitting room and saw that Nora is yet to be ready, granny is sitting on the couch knitting as I approach her, " My goodness! Who is this little princess, " she faked a surprised face, covering her mouth with her hand dramatically causing Ellina to laugh as her face brighten up.
, " Granny, can you braid my hair? " Ellina asked, " Absolutely! " Granny replied, " What kind? " Ellina start explaining what she wants, which took a long time as she is not really good at it. But, grandma who is already used to such way already understand her, but with a smile she continue to listen as Ellina looked frustrated and her small delicate face scrunched up in unhappiness.
, " So, what you want to say is that i will a do small braid from the hair behind your ears and tie them together in the back? " she ask, " Yes! That's it! "
After she finish the braid which really did not take long as it's as simple as that, even Ellina can do it herself but she is afaird that it will be uneven and won't looked good.
Unbeknownst to the duo, a person stand in the stairs as she looked enviously as Ellina, her blonde hair falling and covering her face which make it impossible to read her expression.
After a while, she smile brightly and approach them, completely the opposite of what she looked previously, as she emitted a chilling aura , looking almost paranoid, which can scared people from within .
, " Nora, let's go, " Ellina said taking her hand," Sure, " the blonde reply.
Ellina maintain the smile on her face, but feeling a little bit uncomfortable with Nora but didn't show it. Like an instincts telling her something is not quite right, but dismissed it as her not getting used to the place.
After a while they reach the school, as it's still empty with no one in sigh except the person sweeping the fallen leaves on the ground.
Nora approached the man, " Is Miss. Katie already here? " the man nod at them, and continue his work not even bothering to glance at them .
, " Let's go, " Nora said leading the way and not minding the man's attitude .
Ellina follow her up the stairs as she lead the way, eyes looking around and scanning the surrounding, after several turn and climbing of the stairs, they reached the office on the third floor .
, " Why don't we just take the elevator? " Ellina asked breathlessly , bending down a little with a hand on her knee, " It's under maintenance, " she reply calmly not at all tired.
She knocked on the door , and enter after the voice invite her in, " Oh! You must be Ellina? The new transfer student, " she said looking at Ellina , and handing her a paper, " That's your routine, and here's is your locker number and key, " Ellina fixed her bag strap as her shoulder ache a little due to the heavy book," Thank you," she reply,"Someone will tour you around the school at 8 : 30 am sharp, so wait for her at your assigned classroom ". After that she thanked her and they go out , after going down on the first floor for the locker, she quietly marked the way with her mind. Nora excuse herself and go away leaving her alone, Ellina think to herself ' if she doesn't want to I'm not that eager to be with her either ' even if Nora seem friendly , but her subtle action has make something clear to Ellina, that she see her as burden. And Ellina is a proud person, so she didn't bother pointing it out either , just make up her mind secretly.
After arranging her books, she look around for the restroom and find it using the sign on the wall that are pasted. With no one else around the school seem quite and her footsteps echo through the hall, making her a little uneasy and scared.
She open the door, and enter the restroom and looked herself in the mirror and applying a pale pink lipstick lightly , making it looked as natural as possible and sigh again.
And enter the stall, after she finished her business she get up and open the door and met eye to eye with a girl, who looked a little tired and irritated. With her warm brown skin shining in lustre in spite of the bad lighting in the bathroom, and her curly hair framing her beautiful face , with her tall body she could be a perfect model.
She was wearing a macaroon hoodie , with a black tshirt. Ellina wander why dress in such way in this kind of weather, I'm afraid that she would be fried.
Rue looked at the stranger, not averting her gaze either. Their eyes becoming dead locked, and the air in the room becoming thicker with awkwardness, which make Ellina squirmed secretly. It seem as if the awkwardness was only felt by her , as it didn't seem to bother Rue who continue washing her hand .
Ellina become first one to shift her eye clearing her throat, Rue looked away too as her gaze turn toward the mirror and looking at through it and at the stranger who grabbed a handful of her dress in nervousness.
She really hate waking up early, and today she is tasked to guide the new transfer student. So , she wake up early and just decided to go to the school as she didn't have anything to do anyway, which put her in a sour mood, she only looked at the stranger because her dress kind of looked like something Jules would wear.
Ellina leave first, as Rue eyes follow her leaving figure with a small smile on her mouth. She had never seen her before, but anyway she really didn't know anyone in the school.
She take out the cigarette from her pocket and start smoking it and leaving a trial of wisp of smoke in the air .
